I've added lots of new ways to view recon data on cyclonicwx.com/interactive/, using the flexibility the map gives you! First are dots rather than the usual wind barbs. You can change these to display wind speed, temperature, and extrapolated pressure! The latter two change the mouseover value too.

Plenty of work on "interactive maps" which will always be freely available since the user is doing all of the work. Of course, my older "legacy maps" will get an overhaul too. Although, I could bulk render off Forecast Eagle, I prefer the original formula.

Squall cloud satellite (expanded GOES-West domain) Freely available: squall.cloud/sat#westwide/ir… Half of traffic is cached / should render every loop under a second on a fast connection. I demand nothing less.

I've pretty much run out of ideas of stuff to build "for fun" ... anything else in the weather space? Suggestion box is open. Key to getting off the ground was combing my own simple (and free) GIS / tile system on top of MapLibre, and then bring in weather data in a variety of formats. The websites have a shared framework and design along with the "Forecast Explorer" interface. Being mobile friendly is the next step, and building a few apps, but that can be next month.
