Saudi Arabia has announced the execution of two Bangladeshi nationals convicted of committing what authorities described as a โsexual actโ inside a mosque in the holy city of Mecca.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Saudi Ministry of Interior identified the individuals as Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar.
According to the ministry, security authorities arrested the two following the incident. They were subsequently charged after an investigation and later executed, the statement said.
