Many thanks to our YLers who led on this campaign, in particular Finn Conway, who was one of the Oxford students fighting to scrap this legislation.

With pure joy, we can finally say that after 7 years of dogged campaigning, this barbaric law will be consigned to the history books. This campaign started with a petition by Oxford students, and has ended in real change. Our voices do matter. oxonld.uk/vagrancy-act-scrap…

No South Central Action days in the next couple of weekends but there’s a fantastic opportunity on the 15th to support neighbouring West Sussex to support @districtdo89218 in Chichester. Stay tuned for chances to support excellent Young Liberals within South Central!

It's days like this that I am reminded just why I'm a Liberal Democrat. After months of the @YoungLiberalsUK and @LibDems pushing for a Mobility Scheme the wheels of Starmer's Whitehall are finally creaking into movement. But this is only the beginning!

I asked the PM to consider a European Youth Mobility Scheme in his first statement in July 2024. Very pleased he has listened to the Lib Dems on this and moved on a proposal that will bring huge benefits to thousands of young Brits, like Rosie, as well as UK employers.

Reasons cited for Labour dropping an already diluted manifesto pledge: • Gives Elon Musk ammunition against Labour • “catnip” for Reform • Protect relations with Trump Is it any wonder (young) people are losing faith in democracy? Can Starmer govern? thetimes.com/uk/politics/art…
