Gallup’s latest survey has sparked another debate over capitalism vs socialism. But one figure stands out: 95% of Americans view Main Street positively. Our work w @TheWinstonGroup confirms it: on the economy/taxes, voters trust Main Street. More here: s-corp.org/2026/09/americans…

Great piece from @GeorgeCallas on the right (and wrong) ways to fix Social Security. Proposals to nix the wage cap may be en vogue but would mean fewer jobs, a smaller economy, and not much revenue. There are better options. Our latest: s-corp.org/2026/09/how-not-t…
There’s been a recent flurry of chatter about Social Security. Absent an act of Congress, beneficiaries face a 22% cut beginning in late 2032/early 2033. how do we preserve the program while avoiding job-killing tax increases? In today's newsletter, I enter the chat: 1/

Treasury’s CTA rollback was a big win for Main Street. The media meltdown that followed? Not so much. Our latest: s-corp.org/2026/08/cta-decep…
“The demolition of the Corporate Transparency Act is just the latest and most dramatic move to cater to the president’s deep-pocketed buddies and fellow cronies,” @cjcmichel argues. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…

The Corporate Transparency Act, like many bills that come out of Washington, has a reassuring name that masks bad policy. It exempts large corporations but forces small businesses and even volunteer HOA leaders to report sensitive information to the federal government under threat of fines and jail time. And it does not work: only about 1% of illicit funds are intercepted, despite millions of reports being filed. It is unconstitutional and unnecessary. Congress should codify President Trump's action ending BOI reporting requirements for small business owners by passing my Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act.

Progressives are running a dishonest campaign about the Corporate Transparency Act. The CTA is not only an invasion of privacy and a burden on law-abiding small businesses, it is unconstitutional. Here's what the Western District Court of Michigan ruled:

Lots of misinformation floating around since Treasury finalized its CTA rules earlier this week. Here's the real story: s-corp.org/2026/08/setting-t…
I helped pass this law in 2020. It's purpose is to prevent drug traffickers, Russian & Chinese kleptocrats, and other international criminals from setting up anonymously owned companies to hide their money in the US. Trump's Treasury Dept. is doing this to help criminals. 1/

#NFIB thanks @USTreasury @SecScottBessent and @POTUS for supporting #smallbusinesses in the fight to repeal Beneficial Ownership reporting requirements in their final rule. Read the full press release on BOI here: nfib.com/news/press-release/…

Owning a business is not a crime! The Biden Administration wanted a registry of small businesses (20 or fewer employees) and promised to jail business owners, even HOA volunteers, who failed to report their data to FinCEN. President Trump halted the unconstitutional collection of business ownership data. Now, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has finalized a rule matching President Trump's executive order, and deleting the data already collected. My bill, HR425 the Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act, codifies this rule into law, ending the threat to privacy. It has 193 copsonsors, has passed the House Financial Services Committee, and is expected to become law later this year. home.treasury.gov/news/press…

Today’s action is a victory for common sense and American small businesses. @POTUS promised to cut red tape, and this final rule delivers. Treasury is eliminating a burdensome reporting requirement for millions of law-abiding business owners without compromising our national security.
Today, @FinCENnews issued a final rule that permanently removes the requirement for U.S. companies and U.S. persons to report beneficial ownership information. FinCEN today also announced that it will delete previously reported information by U.S. persons from the beneficial ownership information database.

From our work with the @SCorpAssn, how much do Americans think the wealthy and corporations pay in taxes? How does it compare to what they actually pay? And, do they support raising taxes if small and family-owned businesses would also bear those tax burdens? s-corp.org/2026/07/the-reaso…
Americans are more reasonable on taxes than headlines suggest. Voters consistently underestimate what top earners already pay, and they don't support raising taxes on small and family-owned businesses. More on that dynamic: s-corp.org/2026/07/the-reaso…
