Yesterday, on 21 September 2026, Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) welcomed a delegation from the @SSRCS for a peer-to-peer learning exchange aimed at strengthening cooperation and sharing practical experiences.

Our new Regional Director for Africa, Mamadou Sow, spent this week in #SouthSudan witnessing the humanitarian needs of people affected by conflict and armed violence. During his visit, he travelled to Wau and Malakal. #SSoT.

Together with the @SSRCS, we distributed essential household items to 1’100 families affected by armed conflict in Ayok, Pigi County, #SouthSudan. The assistance includes utensils, bedding, and other items to help them restart their lives with some ease. #SSoX.

In 2025, while in Khartoum, #Sudan, 16-year-old Kuol briefly left home to go nearby; that was the last time he saw his mother, Nyarek, his only pillar of support, for the next year. Together with the #SSRCS, we reunited the two earlier this month in Juba.#SupportTheFamilies #SSoX

It was an opportunity and privilege for me to share the South Sudan Red Cross experience in Volunteerism and retention
