Okay this is actually insane. Just read.
There are unbelievably huge memecoin groups on Facebook, full of boomers.
Some of these groups have up to 400k members??
Just look at the posts and comments. They're real uncs trying to invest their money into memecoins.
Obviously, most of the coins getting shilled in these groups are fake charts and they just end up getting rugged.
So why don't we just onboard them? They're already interested and are flooding these groups.
We've always thought about retail and onboarding as getting teens from TikTok into memecoins..
But what's the point? They don't have much money anyway. That doesn't give us the liquidity we need. Boomers, on the other hand, are sitting on huge bags, scrolling Facebook all day, looking for something to invest in. They're the perfect retail.
This is the Facebook strategy with
$Facedog as a simple coin that boomers find cute and can relate to.
I already created a Facebook community:
facebook.com/groups/14189031…
I also wrote an onboarding post for new members so they know exactly how to get started.
We can also run Facebook ads, etc.
Note that this is not about exploiting them. It's a genuine attempt to onboard older ppl who are already interested in crypto but need a trustworthy community. We should help them, answer their questions etc. instead of letting them get rugged over and over again.
Examples:
facebook.com/groups/77308857…
320k members
facebook.com/groups/11646212…
230k members
facebook.com/groups/14711265…
260k members
You can also just search for "memecoin" on Facebook and you'll see the insane number of groups there are.
