The current progress on AI makes me want to have kids. I never thought I'd have the time. I thought I'd have to work my whole life to make the world what I wanted to. I remember being young and having questions about the world, and nobody who knew the answers. Now, every time I have a question, no matter how small, I ask. I run research. I read and I learn. And I am so much smarter and more knowledgeable about the world than I was. I would have killed to have that when I was a kid. It would be so awesome to be a kid now. To have an idea for a video game and to just create it and play it and share it. To have a question about life that I was afraid of asking any adult, and to know the answer. To truly know what's going on, with no sugar coating, without the biases of the adults I happen to be around. If you're clicking through GUIs, if you're writing reports– just let the AI do it. Set it up, go outside, spend time with your family, come back when it's cooked. This isn't the end of anything except a way of living that was never ideal. It's the beginning of something absolutely incredible. Get more work done than you ever did before. Spend that time raising a family, knowing God, helping other people, asking the questions and knowing the answers. There's so much more to life that most of us have never had the time for. And now we do. And the sooner we get there, the less people die, the more diseases are cured, the better the world will be for those who come next.
