SLC Council will be discussing a proposed e-bike ordinance during today's work session. The ordinance balances the transportation needs of cyclists with the need to keep our urban trails family & pedestrian (and horse) friendly. Meeting details linked. slc.primegov.com/Portal/Meet…

My current slate of Apple products that I hope to take into the next decade.
I get a lot of satisfaction out of stretching the life of my tech and using DIY repair sessions to teach my kids how hardware works. This is the way. macrumors.com/2026/10/20/app…

SLC’s Green Line 👌🏽
Having a train that takes you directly to the airport is genuinely one of the top 10 things a city can offer. No expensive taxis, no sitting in traffic, no begging someone to drop you off. Just get on the train and arrive at the airport. Every major city should have this.

Is this guy trolling??
I don’t know man, maybe it’s just me but I think pro sports tickets should just be affordable for families and people shouldn’t have to beg owners for tickets on social media - especially when tax payer dollars help pay for the arena renovation.

I may disagree substantially with how Cox governed but he did govern. Chaffetz is nothing but a Fox News personality and should not be taken seriously.
This post by the Utah Governor is an absolute embarrassment. Way to offend everybody. To call BYU fans insufferable, and Notre Dame arrogant, is something special. And not in a good way. Embarrassing…..

I’ll add that he’s making it clear to all of us that he’s ready to spend his time as Governor engaging in faux outrage like this and if thats the case, we should let him continue to get paid for it right where he is now.

Not completely unrealistic, given the under investment in American infrastructure.
The Roadster could genuinely be a lifesaver in situations like these.

I know the weirdest things about American healthcare and it almost always happened just like this. If you like going down rabbit holes, our health system is for you.
wife: what are you looking at on your phone at dinner me: just some shit wife: what kind of shit me: well we got that rolling tv so i wanted to see if those rolling nurse workstations are purchasable, which they are and also most hospital equipment like vitals monitors so then i was curious like if you set up a home medical wing, what’s the top 10 substances given to patients, but not by volume but like by occurence, and then its injectable saline by like a large margin, and im like can you buy that and it turns out you can’t, totally prescription but not for like great reasons other than people might fuck themselves up administering it, but like how is it made and who makes it and it turns out one company has like 60% market share (of like 3 domestically) and 20% global market share and that’s crazy their proprietary processes and ip are like national security, fabric of society and civilization type shit how crazy is that?

I would love to have the Forest Service in SLC but we have this thing called a CONSTITUTION and it lays out pretty clearly the role of Congress in these matters. #utpol

The only thing that could improve this view is 3 hours of Sunday afternoon traffic.

“There will be incredible investments in public transportation.” Anyone know what this refers to? One of the complaints I’ve heard from @deltacenter employees is that their events end after @RideUTA shuts down so they are compelled to drive or walk long distances (1/2)…
We’re excited to share the next phase of what’s coming to downtown Salt Lake City. The new district will have something for everyone. It’ll have a new convention center, updated Abravanel Hall, new art museum, transformed Delta Center, Live Nation venue, strong local vibe combined with new iconic brands, hotel, housing, restaurants, and a central pedestrian walkway connecting the whole downtown from City Creek all the way to the new front door of the Delta Center.

If we are treating this as the moment we become a real city, public transit that supports working class schedules - especially the people that will run this district - has to be one of those things. Bonus that we could get some cars off the street as well (2/2).

So stoked for this. I was sad to move from C9 to Broadway in 2018 but now they’re coming my way!!

Sorry but everything is anti-family if you don’t know how to organize, plan, and pack. I go everywhere with my children on public transit and we love that we get to interact in safety the whole trip rather than mess with traffic, angry/dangerous drivers, and parking nonsense.
Public transportation is anti family. Shuttles and busses are enormously difficult to navigate with multiple children and the strollers and bags that come with them. Shuttles are also extremely limiting in stroller space. At most a single shuttle can handle a limited number of strollers, AND can’t handle all types. They’re designed for individuals, or adult couples, with at most one or two children.

Now obviously there are places where a solo vehicle is necessary and we do that from time to time. But the idea that we have to just accept that some of our most beautiful spaces become a clown show because no one is wiling to organize and plan ahead? No, we can do better.
