The move from headset to glasses is reminding me of iPod -> iPhone.
I have a feeling the VR glasses form-factor are going to be the driver behind mass adoption.

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I learned a lot when I started the Google Glass project. A key insight was how important human eye contact is.
Removing the ability to see someone's eyes when talking with them negatively changed the entire dynamic.
So, while I am impressed with Meta's new glasses, they continue the huge error (imho) of blocking eye-to-eye contact.
I don't think any glasses that are dark / block you from seeing another person's eyes will have mainstream, broadly appealing success.

Because the vast majority of the population don't want to wear a headset
freaking upset about this stupid form factor. Why can’t these companies go after a sleek GOGGLES form factor instead of stupid glasses? Dear God, why is that so freaking difficult to understand? I hope everyone who buys these gets their nose and forehead cooked.
