True. Last minute begging for independents, libertarians, and sane voters is weak, predictable, and pathetic. This is what the establishment does every election cycle that is close. This time it’s hitting hardened hearts. For example the establishment gloated when they coordinated and booted Massie out of Congress and told millions of liberty minded voters all to pound sand. Now they want our vote 😂 The question is will they get it?

Housing Post number 2: This report in the Ravalli Republic is true. 30-50% of the unhoused in the Bitteroot and Missoula are local residents. Working a low wage or minimum wage job you would need to work over 100 hours PER WEEK to afford housing. What do you think that looks like in Whitefish or Bozeman? Folks, this is a true housing crisis a TRUE affordability issue and neither party is TRULY addressing the deep needs and concerns of Western Montanans. Again these are locals. I personally know dozens of families living in campers and a handful of buddies living in Vans. These are Native Montanans.

The #1 driver of American Housing un affordability is regulation and zoning. Then you tack on insurance and taxes and it’s brutal. Worse, it’s making home ownership out of reach for many of YOUR kids and grandkids. If Republicans and Libertarians WOULD actually join forces and actionably tackle the regulatory, zoning, insurance and tax issues of home ownership and renting making up 26% of every new home purchase they would win voters. Kudos to the few that do raise their voices but I am talking about a force and block that goes and wins at the policy change matrix at the federal and state level. The DSA will offer subsidies as a solution. I live in Missoula and have family in Bozeangeles two of the most expensive per capita markets in the country. The status quo is a stranglehold. We need Housing Policy Champions. 🇺🇸
