Cohen Gomez should be a major factor for @StanfordBSB this spring, and his splitter gives him the ceiling of a top 5 ACC pitcher. It generated 48% whiff this summer in the @OfficialCCBL, and had a 64% groundball rate.
Brody Trosclair has the makings of the next elite @Vol_Baseball starter.
3000+ RPM slider (43% chase) and a FB that has pro characteristics (35% whiff), expect him to compete for a weekend spot early.
Projected 2nd rounder in 2028, and a velo jump could push him up even more.
After seeing no in-game action this spring for @GoBearcatsBASE , Luke Kosko broke out for the @roleprechauns with a .349/.425/.674 slashline. Strikeout concerns exist (26.1K%), but the summer power surge is backed by impressive underlying metrics.
Alex Benevento (@BrownU_Baseball ) broke out this spring with an .897 OPS and followed it up with a .383/.516/.585 this summer for @NeersBase . His 1.101 OPS was 3rd among qualified hitters in @TheNECBL . Improved approach aided the breakout and may land him on MLB draft boards.
Andrew Lepine was DOMINANT this summer for @swampbats_keene (0.50 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, 18 IP).
Primarily SN/SL, he draws ground balls ⅔ of the time. The submariner is an uncomfortable AB for any RHH, and @UCF_Baseball may have gotten another weapon for their reinforced bullpen.
Ross Yoshida (@CornellBaseball) may not have overpowering stuff, but he limited hard contact (25.7 HH%) all year and finished with a 2.89 ERA (43.2 IP). His SL was particularly effective (14 HH%), and advanced metrics suggest he was actually unlucky given the contact quality.
After a strong summer with the @harborhawks to the tune of a 2.7 ERA thru 26.2 IP, RHP Raymond Olivas heads back to @UCSB_Baseball for his junior season primed for success. Olivas carries a true 4-pitch mix, notably a 90-93 FB w/ ++ride and an 82-85 CH that drew a 50% chase rate.
