Recruit Class 41 is officially underway, training for a career built around service, teamwork, and helping others.
Over the months ahead, they will be challenged in the classroom, on the training ground, and through hands-on scenarios as they build the skills needed to serve our incredible community.
They are three weeks in, with plenty of hard work still ahead. We are excited to introduce Recruit Class 41 and bring you along as they continue their journey.

A major milestone at The Union at @FishersDistrict: Indiana’s first @ACHotels by Marriott has reached the topping out stage, marking completion of the building’s structural frame and keeping the project on track for an early 2027 opening.
The 135-room hotel will also include 15,500 square feet of retail space, an AC Lounge, AC Kitchen, fitness center and flexible meeting space.
Another exciting step forward for The Union at Fishers District.

On September 16, your Fishers Police and @FishersFireDept will be conducting a joint training exercise. You may notice an increased emergency presence near 116th Street and Lantern Road.

Officer Ahnert is assigned to Hoosier Road and Sand Creek elementary schools. She has 20 years of law enforcement experience and has served with our School Resource Unit since 2011.

Her answer: “Spending time with my family, playing with my dog, and watching my kids’ football games!”
Our SROs work each day to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families while helping keep our schools safe.

As the Chair of the Central Indiana Regional Development Authority (@CIRDAIndiana), the Mayor emphasized that Central Indiana has the infrastructure in place to support the animal, plant, and human health industries in each stage of product development, manufacturing, and distribution. We’re proud to celebrate four leaders whose commitment to serving others is making a lasting impact in our community.
Earlier this week, Detective Tracy Jones and Detective Sgt. Cesar Rodriguez were honored with the Above & Beyond Award from Cherish Center, recognizing the incredible work they do to support and protect children in our community. Their compassion, dedication, and commitment to some of our most vulnerable community members truly embody what it means to go above and beyond.
Additionally, Chief Gebhart and Mayor Fadness were presented with Cherish’s first-ever Servant Leader Award. A servant leader is someone whose life’s work reflects a deep commitment to putting the needs of others first, someone who builds strong communities, leads with humility, and empowers others to grow rather than seeking personal recognition.
We’re proud to see Detective Jones, Detective Sgt. Rodriguez, Chief Gebhart, and Mayor Fadness recognized for the heart and dedication they bring to serving Fishers.

Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness has issued a Local Disaster Emergency Declaration in response to historic flooding throughout the city following unprecedented rainfall.
The City of Fishers has also launched a 24/7 resident assistance hotline at 317-595-3211 for non-emergency flood-related needs. For emergencies, call 911.
Residents can also report flood impacts and request support by completing the flood recovery form at FishersIN.gov/Flooding.
Do not drive around barricades or enter flooded areas to sightsee. Drivers ignoring closures are creating additional hazards and pulling critical public safety resources away from residents who need immediate assistance.
Please avoid flooded areas, never drive through floodwaters and follow guidance from public safety officials as response and recovery efforts continue.
The Local Disaster Emergency Declaration remains in effect through Saturday, Aug. 22.

⚠️ Flooding Status Update from Mayor @ScottFadness
As river levels rise to historic levels and additional rain is forecast this weekend, @FishersFireDept, @Fishers_Police, and Public Works Department continue working around the clock to assist impacted residents. Please follow all posted closures and warnings, particularly near the White River, so our teams can safely conduct this critical work.
Over the past three days, our teams have conducted numerous water rescues and provided support to residents along Fall Creek and the White River. Thankfully, there have been no fatalities or injuries associated with these rescues.
We are also proud to support our neighboring communities. Fishers Fire Department personnel have responded to water rescues in Pendleton, Anderson, Perkinsville, and Tipton, while Public Works has delivered equipment and supplies to Pendleton and Tipton.
I am incredibly proud of our team for stepping up without fanfare, and grateful for their dedication and service. We will continue supporting our residents and neighbors throughout this unprecedented flooding event.

There is a lot to celebrate in HSE! 📚
97.3% of HSE third graders passed IREAD! That's our highest rate in six years and the best among Indiana districts testing 600+ students. Three HSE elementary schools reached 100%, and all 13 scored at least 90%.
