Context is incredibly important when vetting motor carriers.
Most vetting rules are set up in hopes of catching the bottom tier of the industry, the worst of the worst. We tend to give a hard Yes or No, yet so much more is needed.
Rarely, if ever, is a green check or red X enough. One big red flag for one company may be totally irrelevant for another.
Here's an example using a company that I would trust with my life.
Recent contact changes?
Yes, but irrelevant.
Multiple matching companies by contact, phone number, etc.?
Yes, but irrelevant.
If you don't know why you're saying yes or no to motor carriers, you're NGMI.
