🇬🇷|The Greek people are on the streets, and they are naming the enemy. They are not confused. They know who is selling their future: Marco Rubio, the Trump administration, and the Greek government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This is not a protest for wages alone. It is a revolt against a colonial arrangement. The U.S. Secretary of State arrives in Athens to finalize the sale of F-35 fighter jets and to deepen military cooperation. The Greek government has banned all public gatherings to shield him from the people. Riot police have deployed chemical agents to disperse demonstrators. The message from the ruling class is clear: the interests of Washington are more important than the rights of Greeks. The Crime Scene: Syntagma Square, Athens On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, thousands of Greeks gathered at Syntagma Square and marched toward the U.S. Embassy. Student associations, trade unions, and political parties carried Palestinian and Cuban flags. They chanted: "Murderer Rubio is not welcome," "Greece does not want to participate in massacres," "Out with the killers of peoples". The demonstrators were protesting the sixth round of the Greece-U.S. Strategic Dialogue, which Rubio came to formalize. The agenda included bilateral defense and security cooperation, the signing of a memorandum between the Greek Armed Forces and the Florida National Guard, and a ceremony marking the opening of a new wing at the U.S. Embassy. This is the institutionalization of occupation. 🔫 The Real Deal: F-35s and the Militarization of Greece Rubio's visit was accompanied by the finalization of the sale of 20 F-35 fighter jets to Greece, with pilot training scheduled to begin in 2027. Greece is also acquiring other advanced U.S. weapons systems. The message is simple: Washington is arming Greece for war. The Greek government is spending billions on U.S. weapons while teachers, nurses, and pensioners are told there is no money. The U.S.-NATO bases in Souda Bay, Larissa, Alexandroupoli, and Aktio are being upgraded and expanded. Greek territory is being turned into a launch pad for U.S. imperialist aggression in the Middle East and beyond. 💰 The Energy Heist: Chevron, ExxonMobil, and the Looting of Greek Resources While the streets burned, the real transfer of wealth was happening behind closed doors. In February 2026, a consortium led by Chevron was granted exclusive rights to explore and exploit hydrocarbons in maritime zones south of the Peloponnese and Crete. Two months later, ExxonMobil signed a similar deal for exploratory drilling in the northwestern Ionian Sea. This is not "energy security." This is the looting of Greek resources by American oil giants, brokered by the Mitsotakis government. The same government that claims it cannot afford to pay its teachers is handing over Greece's energy wealth to the same corporations that have destroyed the planet. 🛑 The State Terror: Chemical Agents and Bans The Greek police, under the command of the Mitsotakis government, did not simply stand by. They banned all public outdoor gatherings in central Athens from 6 a.m. Wednesday. They deployed drones and thousands of officers to monitor the protests. And when protesters marched toward the U.S. Embassy, riot police used chemical agents to stop them. The Mitsotakis government is not a government of the Greek people. It is a colonial administration that uses its police to protect the interests of Washington from the people of Greece. 🔗 The Wider Context: A People in Revolt This was not an isolated day of protest. For months, Greece has been paralyzed by strikes and demonstrations. Public-sector unions like ADEDY and GSEE, along with the Communist Party-linked PAME, have led general strikes against EU-imposed austerity. In September 2026, 35,000 workers rallied against new tax rises and spending cuts. Pensioners are planning further mobilizations. The anger is real. Wages are stagnant. The cost of living is soaring. And the government's response is to buy more weapons, sell more of the country to Chevron and ExxonMobil, and send more Greek soldiers to train with the Florida National Guard. #TheTruth: Colonized by Consent The Greek people know what is happening. The KKE has called for a "popular uprising" against the U.S.-NATO bases. The protesters in Syntagma Square are not fooled by the government's lies. They see Rubio for what he is: a representative of a genocidal empire that is waging war on Iran and Palestine, and they see their own government for what it is: a collaborator. This is the truth they do not want you to see. Marco Rubio came to Athens to collect the bounty. The F-35s, the Chevron contracts, the ExxonMobil deals, the Florida National Guard memorandum these are the instruments of Greece's vassalage. And the Greek people, on the streets with Palestinian flags in their hands, are the only ones telling the truth.

There is something profoundly disturbing about the wall-to-wall coverage of Israel's Oct 7th commemmorations. I mean, this is a brutal, racist, settler colony that has spent the last three years perpetrating one of the worst crimes in human history. Fuck it to hell and back.

Years before October 7, 2023, Chuck Schumer called on Israel to “strangle Gaza” because Palestinians “don't believe in the Torah, in David." That’s what Israel did, and why Oct 7 happened
Today we mark 3 years since Hamas’s horrific October 7th terrorist attack on Israel, the single deadliest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust. The brutality of the October 7th attacks that killed over 1,200 people, including 48 Americans, and took hostage over 250, will be seared into our memories forever. I visited Israel on October 10th and met with hostage families; I felt their pain, anguish, and fear—it’s a feeling I will never forget. We must all never forget.  On this solemn anniversary, my prayers are with those killed in Hamas’s attacks, the hostages who came home through painstaking negotiations, and the hostages who were killed in captivity and whose bodies were brutally held for over 2 years, including my constituents Omer Neutra and Itay Chen.  Today, we reaffirm our commitment to the security of the Israeli people, to the aid and wellbeing of the Palestinian people and the recovery of the devastation in Gaza that the ensuing conflict brought, and to doubling down on efforts for a lasting peace resulting in two states where Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in equal measures of peace, security, dignity, and mutual recognition.

🇪🇸 ¿CEUTA TE HIZO SENTIR VULNERABLE? Pregúntate qué le habrías exigido a tu Gobierno si se hubieran llevado a tus hijos al otro lado de la frontera. Si hubieran violado a tus compatriotas, si hubiesen asesinado a tus familiares. Eso exigió Israel. Pedro Sánchez los criminaliza por hacerlo. 🚌Campaña de concienciación en las calles de Madrid

The unelected village idiot who supports a dictator that refuses to hold elections, is bitching that a country that holds elections is not democratic. You can't make this shit up.
Russia’s sham Duma elections were an insult to Ukraine, to the Russian people, and to democracy itself. Putin hates democracy because he is threatened by it. That is why – along with destroying civil society and repressing political opposition at home – Russia meddles in the democratic space of others, including the European Union. The EU is currently preparing sanctions on those involved in the organisation of these “elections” and those who stood as candidates for Russia in occupied Ukraine. I watched a long and difficult but worthwhile movie recently called "Silence," by Martin Scorsese. 17th-century Portuguese missionaries in Japan found themselves in an impossible predicament: renounce God, or possibly pay a greater cost. The local Tokugawa Shogunate was determined to stamp out Christianity. However, just killing the priests simply made martyrs out of them and caused more conversions. So they made the padres watch as their parishioners were tortured to death with ever-increasing creativity until they finally agreed to renounce their faith. The priests were ready to be martyred themselves but couldn't stand watching the suffering of their flock. And once the priests were broken, it was only a matter of time before faith died. How horrible, right? But then you reflect that the Japanese knew about the vast Portuguese empire of the 17th century. Christianity was a national security threat. Once people start believing in a foreign faith, how long can it be before Japan gets subverted by outsiders? The fact that the religious justification just so happens to be so useful to empires doesn’t mean it’s not sincere, though. In fact, it has to be sincere. Without the true faith of the padres, who would be inspired to believe? It occurs to me that today's human rights activists and pro-democracy NGOs are the missionary class of today's American empire. Or call it the rules-based international order, if you will. Since my own apostasy away from liberalism, I've found it almost impossible to just have a conversation with Westerners from that class. Because with them you are no longer arguing facts; you're arguing faith. They literally believe that the only political system with legitimacy is liberal democracy, and they believe it as fervently as the padres believe in Jesus. Well, I have an idea for them if they truly want to promote democracy around the world: go home and convince the American government to stop messing with other people's elections. This is the way the world works right now: the more open your society, the more free speech, right of assembly, and multi-party free and fair elections you have, the easier it is for the US government to rifle through your politics like an open box of chocolates and take what they fancy. Ever heard of NED? If not, look it up. The problem with the padres was never that their faith in Jesus was disingenuous. It's that once everybody got baptized, the conquistadors' pointy swords wouldn't be far behind.

Hanning was involved, as head of the BND and then as State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior, in the creation of the fake "Islamic Jihad Union" terror group. I wrote of this in 2007. craigmurray.org.uk/archives/… Exactly the same playbook as the fake Iranian HAYI group today.
The icing on the cake when it comes to the sad collapse of German statecraft. August Hanning, former head of the German BND, the German equivalent of the CIA, has been arrested on espionage charges. It has never happened before that a country's top intelligence officer and head of a national spy agency proved to be a spy for another state. nytimes.com/2026/10/06/world…

It cannot be overstated how every one of these tankers going down either in Europe or the Middle East is its own massive ecological disaster. Once you add them all up we’re talking about ecocide at that point. We’re killing everything with these wars. Not just us.
A Russian oil tanker is burning off Sochi this evening, likely a result of a Ukrainian attack. This will be very difficult to put out.

German media are already reporting that the "foreign power" in question is "not Russia", and Hanning sits on the advisory board of "United Against Nuclear Iran" (chaired by Jeb Bush) as well as Israeli cybersecurity firm WHEN Group, so I'd expect this story to die quickly.
