Why do AI bros genuinely pretend art is this gatekept elite hobby and they're fightin' against some kinda oppressive force that's hindering creativity? Everybody has pen and paper, if ya have pen and paper, you can draw.

vibe/ai coders suck my dick you will never know the rush of pride and excitement and satisfaction you get from having a problem and managing to come up with your own solution pulling from all your experience and knowledge of the game engine that produces the exact result you want
the pride i feel rn knows no bounds

2027 will be 30 years of “doseone”… And 50 years of lil’ ol’ ME:) And the humans who have supported my art all these years are going to FKN EAT… New friends, old friends, new music, old music, all the things… More proper details this WINTER, but for now…

Bro, you just download pictures from a website.
Replying to @AzureLionProd
What are your thoughts on photographers? Do you call them "clickers?" By this logic they shouldn't be able to call themselves artists either. I've done both photography and AI prompting, and the AI prompting engages far more of my artistic brain than photography does.

We are beyond lucky to be alive to witness terrible AI videos of how soap is made. This reel has 38 million views and every single comment is a string of random numbers, letters or emojis. There's also a guy called Jerry who claims to be God.

Me in this climate:
I am deeply interested in what devs are doing in this kind of climate - because that's awful! 😣

Bro thinks downloading an mp3 from a website is “creativity”
Rick Rubin understands what many artists still refuse to accept. Creativity isn't in moving the brush. It's knowing what to paint. AI doesn't change that.

game dev is in such a weird spot right now. theoretically the only way to build an audience is by posting about your unique game, instead of shadow dropping it. but if you don't shadow drop it, there's a very good chance an AI bro will rapidly recreate and publish your idea

Why don't you just show that you have worked on the idea before @Radoslaw_Klasa released his? This would settle it here and now.
Yes, it is indeed. It is a nightmare working on a game for months, spend nights losing sleep, putting our jobs and personal times on the line. Then, we woke up to be called a thief. and AI slop without proper evidence and investigation. So instead of going back and forth, we’re just showing the work. Our artist has uploaded WIPs, production files and development material from Potato Please so people can see how the game was actually made. We had never seen Rado’s game before all of this. Soviet + potato isn’t something either of us invented. It’s been a meme and a cultural joke online for years. His mentioned game jam had a lot of potato themed games. We searched only google and steam when we started the project. Funny thing is Rado’s own Itch.io page has a generative AI disclosure. Potato Please was developed independently.

It’s every indie dev's worst nightmare. I created this concept for the GMTK game jam. I held off on my Steam page to obsessively polish the mechanics... and it just got cloned and shipped. Probably mostly with a simple AI prompt. Here’s my original build vs theirs 👇

Trying to build a list of youtubers to cover my game. After revealing like 5 emails, youtube hits me with this. The absolute joys of indie game marketing 🤣 #indiegamedev

These indie devs are making a first-person potato peeling game where you keep the army fed - Peel them by hand with real physics - Cut thin and do not waste any of it - Buy machines and automate the lot Game is Potato Please

Does he not know that the complexity is 2^896? If it took 16 days from 862 to 896, then it will take 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years to crack RSA-1024 assuming linear progress (and 10^334 years for RSA-2048)
thanks to @penlume and @sweis we now know when RSA-2048 will be broken without a quantum computer

It's impossible to actually understand how an LLM works and genuinely believe it's conscious. It's a bunch of vectors and multiplication. That's literally it. "We don't know what they're doing" lmfao yes, yes we do.
