One of the leaders of the "List of Students" , Professor Jovo Bakić, stated that the new Serbian government will not impose sanctions against Russia, despite President Vučić's statements that this would happen within six months.
"We respect Russia as a great power and as a historically important partner, and in many cases, even as our protector. There will be no changes in this regard," Bakić, a future member of parliament, told the RT Balkan television channel.
The Serbs, who experienced UN sanctions in the 1990s, know "what kind of suffering that is," he said. Sanctions from such a small country as Serbia will not change anything for Russia, as even the entire European Union has not been able to harm it, but they will damage relations and harm Serbia itself. "I said this during the election campaign, and I am saying it now after the elections."
