Devin requested a Supply Crate to give himself a positive outlet after his service in the Army National Guard has left its mark on him physically and mentally. "I have served 12 years in the Army National Guard as an mortarmen. I’ve completed two combat deployments to Afghanistan and Syria, where I faced the daily reality of incoming Rockets drone threats in burn pit, exposure. My job required carrying heavy mortar systems and working around constant blast pressure, which has left me with neck and back injury, tinnitus migraines, and some memory issues. The physical strain was only part of the challenge. The mental demands of deployment pushing through fear and staying focused for my soldiers left lasting effects. I continue to deal with PTSD anxiety and I've been having a lot of troubles keep mine occupied so I have sleeping issues too., which affect both my personal life and my service. Despite these struggles, I remain committed to my fellow Guardsmen. I mentor, support, and lead, because I know how much it matters to have someone who understands. What makes me and my group strong candidates for a Stack Up Supply Crate is not just our service, but our dedication to moving forward together while finding healthy ways to cope. We have received over 6000 requests in the past 2 weeks and it will take us at least a year to process them all at our current rate, as such, please do not email or DM us about the receipt of your application as we need to be able to get through all of the applications and emails. Air Force Veteran Isaac requested a Supply Crate because his PlayStation 4 broke and he wanted a new console and games so he could decompress with gaming. "My name is Isaac and I am a veteran of the US Air Force. I am an unlikely veteran, a hippie at heart, I live a sober vegan life. I joined the military straight out of high school back in 2002. When our nation was attacked, I thought my duty to protect the nation I love. I still love my country as much as I did back then and still serve it as a state government employee. Marine Corps Veteran Joel requested a Supply Crate because gaming is one of the ways he enjoys social time with friends and fellow Veterans when his physical limitations make it difficult for him to go out. "I’m a medically retired veteran who has spent the past several years navigating a series of orthopedic surgeries, including two knee replacements, a hip replacement, foot surgery, and more. These procedures have taken a significant toll on my mobility and day-to-day functioning. While I’ve adjusted to life with assistive devices like braces and a cane, the emotional and mental weight of recovery, pain, and isolation has been just as challenging as the physical. Gaming has always been a therapeutic outlet for me—it's not just entertainment, it’s connection, distraction from chronic pain, and a way to stay mentally engaged. I’m applying for a Supply Crate because access to a current-generation gaming console and games would be more than a gift—it would be an emotional lifeline. My wife and I live a fairly disciplined life, and gaming is one of the few ways I can still engage socially with friends and fellow veterans, especially on days when my pain or physical limitations keep me homebound. I’ve given everything I had during my time in service, and I continue to work on improving my physical and mental health each day. I participate in Wounded Warrior Project events, adapted sports, and therapeutic routines like cold plunges, red light therapy, and aromatherapy to manage pain and promote healing. But when the day winds down, having the ability to relax, game, and reconnect with others in a virtual world would make a tremendous difference.
