So Man City’s owners somehow used their influence to get the Portuguese authorities to terminate Rui Pinto’s witness protection programme immediately after they were found guilty? How did we ever let these evil guys into our beautiful game? They are a cancer and they must be uprooted
On Wednesday, just hours after the verdict officially confirming Manchester City’s guilt, the Commission responsible for Portugal's witness protection programme informed me of its decision to terminate my participation in the programme and withdraw my police protection, thereby knowingly placing me in a life-threatening situation. Given these circumstances, I have no alternative but to relocate, within the next few days, to an undisclosed location for an indefinite period of time, due to the multiple death threats I have received and the serious risk of an assassination attempt against me. For this reason, I have just set up a GoFundMe campaign and I am asking for everyone's support to help me survive this serious situation created by the Portuguese State, which, as I have already stated, has knowingly decided to place my life at risk. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thanks to everyone who continues to support Football Leaks, and I can give everyone one guarantee: the fight will most certainly continue! gofundme.com/f/help-save-rui…

If Man City in some way wins the case. Or loses but is given a very minimal punishment. Due to the fact that the UAE is now threatening the UK with all sorts of ramifications. Then football in this country is finished for good. Expell them to national league and remove the owners

After all these threats from Man City the only way the Premier League can survive is if their owners are kicked out of football & Man City are severely punished. If they get a slap on the wrist other clubs like NUFC will think why not cheat do the same and there will be 0 integrity in the Premier League. Ban City’s owners from the sport, relegate them to the national league and offer a huge fine to come out of club. That way nobody will try break the rules again. Also kick the Glazers out with them while you’re at it…

Either City are finished or the Prem is. Nobody takes this league seriously ever again if City get off with a slap on the wrist
For me, the City sanctions will not be happening. The relationship between the UK and Abu Dhabi is way too deep. It’s above the Premier League’s head, and in general highlights the issues of state ownership. Premier League are fighting an incredible battle but it’s now a matter of national interest.

51% fan ownership. A strict interpretation of the original ( not bastardised one by Red Bull and Co) German model. That's what we need in England. Protected by law, as English football should be a protected cultural asset. Lost count how many times I've argued for this to happen, now's the time. For every fan of every club, for a fair pyramid and continued success. 51% fan ownership. Non negotiable.

So many conspiracy theories it's untrue. Abu Dhabi believe they're not guilty and have billions and decades ahead to fight on until there's nowhere left to go. That's just a fact and not a controversy. The question is state ownership in part or in full brings the mess we now have, so does English football need or want this moving forward? To me it's an obvious no, others may say yes. We need a conversation about English club ownership model not a nations state who may be guilty or not on appeal of a judgement they will never accept. Ever.

This isn’t an ‘opinion’ hit piece. This is YEARS of investigation, THOUSANDS of documents and a HUGE amount of legal expertise PROVING that you’re guilty. They’re an arrogant group of individuals used to nobody saying ‘no’ to them. Throw the book at them.
Man City have officially launched their appeal against the Premier League. With the club stating that 'on multiple grounds, the opinion contains clear material errors, of law, principle and fact and is unsafe.'

Don’t worry. I’ll help you all find a nice German club, 50+1 compliant, once this is all over.

If Man City get away with it, there will literally be no point continuing the Premier League. May as well all cheat. Dope up the players, cook the books. It'd be a free-for-all. They need to take their medicine. Into League 2 at the very highest.

Everyone who opposed state ownership has been vindicated to such a comical extent that those who defended it should be viewed the same way as people who argued that tobacco was good for lung health in the 1950s.
Exclusive with @AlexDooler @DNair5 UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
