I've been a Rowdy @KyleBusch fan since I was 7 years old watching him lead the 2008 Daytona 500 in the 18 @mmschocolate Camry. Turns out it was his breakout year, causing me to become obsessed.

It’s perverse that the same people who were jubilant on October 7 now implicitly demand that this day be stolen from its victims and turned into a day of mourning for Palestinians who died at least weeks, months, and years later in a war catalyzed by the terrorist attack they celebrated.

and to understand why gaza is a heaping pile of rubble, you need to look at hundreds of years of arab and muslim persecution of jews
3 years ago today, we witnessed the culmination of 75 years of occupation, dispossession, ethnic cleansing, its consequences. To understand October 7, we must understand the material conditions that produced it.

RIGHT NOW: Zohran Mamdani stands on the Israeli side of an October 7 vigil while Palestinian organizers and supporters of Palestinian liberation directly protest him. Another politician at the vigil is Brad Lander, who increased NYC pension holdings in Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, as their weapons were used to annihilate Palestinians at the height of the Gaza genocide. Meanwhile, students across NYC are walking out of classrooms demanding an end to the city’s complicity in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians. Mamdani campaigned on solidarity with Palestine. Now the movement is confronting him over the gap between that solidarity and his political decisions. This is not a hypothetical contradiction or a disagreement over rhetoric. It is a confrontation over where political power is being exercised, whose demands are being accommodated, and whose are being dismissed. Solidarity is measured by what you do with power, not what you say to obtain it. Video via @WOLPalestine @Cuny4P

Total Islamic victory. The BBC cannot even mention in its headline that he's being sentenced to death because he insulted Muhammad after Muslim trolls insulted Hindu deities online (under a video of a Muslim man kicking a dog following Hindu pilgrims).

It actually is insane because THAT'S NOT WHAT HAMAS WANTS. This idea that secularism and equal rights will suddenly appear in Gaza IS LITERALLY INSANE BECAUSE THEY'VE BEEN VERY VOCAL ABOUT IT.
A single secular state with equal rights for Arabs and Jews is not "insane"

The people calling Talarico a “commie” were always voting Paxton no matter what. Those aren’t the voters that will decide this election.
I’m phone banking for GOP candidates in Texas. Speaking to man in his 60s. He cannot stand Paxton. And then he says, “I’ll vote for a morally corrupt person every single time over a commie.” And that tells me the 3rd party ads are working. #txsen

I can understand thinking Democrats won’t get 55 or even 53 or even 50 seats. I can even understand thinking Republicans hold their 53 seats. But you have to be completely delusional to think Republicans will get 55 seats.

If the argument against Israel's actions is based in international law and against settlements, then this is the dumbest argument by far. Kfar Aza is in the internationally recognized territory of Israel. It is not inside of the Gaza Strip. It is sovereign Israeli territory

the October 7 attacks were bad and it was immediately and clearly foreseeable that the consequences for Palestinians would be bad, yet many people still seem to think that it was worth it bc a bunch of Israelis got killed and there are now more anti-Israel posts on social media

Fuck off with your all lives matter bullshit. I know you're capable of it because your 9/11 speech strictly stuck to honoring the victims, survivors, and heroes of that day, and you did not mentioning those who perished in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.
