Former NFL scout @JohnMiddlekauff spoke about the Chargers interior offensive line play after week two.
The Chargers chose to try to find cheap replacement level guards and have them be elevated by the scheme and play of the tackles + Biadasz.
That plan can collapse quickly.

The Chargers offense through two weeks:
•30th in EPA/play
•29th in success rate
•0.45 yards before contact per rush (29th)
•31st in EPA/dropback vs stunts
•27th in sack rate despite being 11th in pressure rate allowed
Reasons for optimism (unfortunately):
•They rank 17th in EPA/dropback on early downs (27th on late downs)
•They rank 12th in EPA/dropback against non-stints and 10th when facing neither a stunt nor a blitz
•McConkey’s EPA/target ranks 8th/64 and can be used even more
•Slater ranks 10th/65 in pressure rate allowed, Alt at 25th
•EPA/dropback on rollouts is 6th best but they’ve only used them six times
•They have the 31st pass rate over expected and could improve efficiency by just passing more
•They rank 16th in early down designed rushing success rate (score within 17 points) but 31st in EPA because of two costly fumbles
•They can and should be able to use more screens as replacement for rushes like McDaniel did in Miami

No, that does not include their QB who is still a top 6-8 QB in the league at his best that also has a no trade clause.
