There are two competing hypotheses about Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The first hypothesis is that the invasion was unprovoked, as Russia is another "Hitler" pursuing expansionism, and that the logical response of NATO is therefore to stop Russia and raise the costs. From this perspective, even diplomacy can be viewed as "appeasement." The second, competing hypothesis is that Russia responded to 30 years of NATO expansion, which it considers an existential threat, and thus considers itself to be fighting a defensive war. If the second hypothesis is correct, then NATO deepening its direct involvement and rejecting negotiations will only result in the destruction of Ukraine while taking further steps toward nuclear war. George Beebe, the former Director of Russia Analysis at the CIA, argues that the second hypothesis is clearly correct: Russia sees this as a war for its survival and therefore cannot back down. One does not need to agree with the analysis of Beebe, but this should really be at the center of the debate in the West, as our survival depends on it. My great concern is that we are not even permitted to discuss or debate these two competing hypotheses, because the narrative must be protected and all dissent is smeared as repeating Russian propaganda. youtu.be/HrgVTdBvSpI

Look at the way police officers treated a completely innocent ex soldier. It’s despicable. The same force that treated Henry Nowak’s murderer with kid gloves. Kicking white men is fine. Two-tier justice. I hope Mr Styler sues. @HantsPolice
🔺Former soldier Matt Styler cleared of assaulting a police officer during protests in Southampton following the death of Henry Nowak. Matt Styler, 50, a former Parachute Regiment soldier from Gosport, was found not guilty at Southampton Crown Court after prosecutors said the evidential test had not been met and offered no further evidence. Judge William Mousley KC formally recorded a verdict of not guilty. Styler had previously denied the allegation and had been held in custody before being granted bail.

Very good point raised by @ZiaYusufUK The culprits who attacked officers in Southampton have been sentenced one week later. One for 2 years & 4 months. When BLM activists threw the Colston statue in the river. Nobody went to prison. This is two-tier justice we’re angry about.

The Bank of England DELIBERATELY FIXED the fake "public vote" to remove ALL historical figures from bank notes & replace them with nature images Freedom of Information requests by the Telegraph reveal the decision to remove historical figures was based on a "focus group" of a mere 119 people The Bank LIED because it previously claimed the decision was based on a "public vote". In truth, however, even this vote was FIXED. Instead of having HISTORY v NATURE, the bank deliberately split the "history" category into 3 sections: historical events, historical figures, architecture & landmarks. That was the only way that "nature" could win. However, of course bank notes always combine at least two of those history categories. For example: Churchill & Parliament or Wellington & Waterloo. The Bank's actions are indefensible and questions should be asked in the House. The Bank of England has clearly been captured by progressive woke ideology. A visit to the Bank of England with its permanent exhibition on slavery makes that clear This is part of the wider war on British history. It's an attempt to create a NEW BRITAIN, based on ridiculous myths that "Diversity Built Britain" and that Britain has always been multicultural. Remember: the Bank of England issued a 50p coin (held aloft by Rishi Sunak) which was imprinted with the nonsensical statement: "Diversity Built Britain" Anyone who lived behind the Iron Curtain will find all of this eerily and scarily familiar. The pulling down of statues, the renaming of streets and schools, the rewriting of history, denigrating heroes, changing bank notes etc....these were all tactics of the communists. Severing the connection between a people and their history is the best way to demoralise a society and prepare them for the imposition of new myths. Me on @GBNews:

Er … Firefighters in Manchester who support Reform UK have been cautioned over their views by bosses. And staff are being urged to snitch on colleagues who express support for Reform. so when Starmer said “Free speech is one of the founding values of the United Kingdom, and we protect it jealously and fiercely and always will.” … that was just disinformation 🤡

I’m getting sick and tired of Keir Starmer and other left-wing politicians cherry-picking one segment of the Nowak family’s statement about not wanting this to cause further division in an attempt to silence political opponents through guilt. That isn’t all the Nowak family said. They also said that Henry was treated differently by the police to Vickrum Digwa. They also said they wanted the Kirpan banned along with all other knives. Starmer has respected neither of those wishes. He has denied that two-tier policing exists and refused to support banning the Kirpan. So please don’t start lecturing other politicians about respecting the family’s wishes when you are not doing so yourself.
