YouTube isn’t a bystander in the violence, it’s a business partner. Tommy (Thomas Wayne Allen) has a felony record and is currently on probation after pleading guilty to assault for punching a protester - and he’s still monetized. He’s been filmed splitting that Super Chat money with a fan who shows up to these events acting as his muscle. Portlanders pay in police response while he and YouTube get paid. This network has been escalating confrontations across Portland since October 2025 and has become a significant drain on police resources. We’ve reported him, written the city, county, DA, and our congressional delegation - nothing moves. A newsroom can ask YouTube the questions we can’t: why does their funding model reward violence, and why won’t they enforce their own standards on a business partner with a felony record who’s on probation for assault?
