Tracy Campaign Statement Following WTTW Candidate Forum
CHICAGO – In tonight’s WTTW News candidate forum – the only joint debate Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton agreed to after declining multiple invitations across Illinois – U.S. Senate candidate Don Tracy delivered a clear, common sense message that cut through. Tracy showed why his campaign continues to gain momentum: real-world experience as a businessman, attorney, and former Illinois Republican Party chairman, paired with a serious plan to lower the cost of living, restore public safety, represent all 102 counties, and defend the American Dream for working families.
Throughout the forum, Tracy was the most effective voice for Illinoisans crushed by rising energy, healthcare, grocery, gas and tax costs, along with rampant crime and years of failed leadership from Juliana Stratton and her far-Left allies in government. He laid out practical solutions to make life more affordable, keep communities safe, and ensure hard work is rewarded no matter where you live in the state. Stratton offered more of the same extreme Socialist agenda: higher spending, bigger government, and policies that have driven families and businesses out of Illinois and made life less affordable for those who remain. The contrast was unmistakable.
“Illinois voters finally saw the choice clearly, side by side, in the only debate my opponent agreed to,” Tracy said. “I’m running because families across every one of our 102 counties deserve a U.S. Senator who understands their struggles and will fight for them in Washington. Lt Governor Stratton is running to advance extreme policies and political alliances. Tonight, the contrast was clear.”
