Privacy on Canton is not a bolt-on. Sub-transaction views mean each party sees only what its role needs. Observer roles give auditors visibility without opening the whole book. That is the settlement stack institutions ask for. Sealed quotes keep competing prices private. Both legs settle atomically on-chain. DM for an invitation code.
On Canton, sub-transaction privacy splits a transaction into encrypted views, so each party sees only the data its role requires. Observer roles give regulators and auditors real-time visibility built directly into the contract. @Cantor8 breaks down how.

Kyobo Life and @sbivc_official completed a Japan-Korea stablecoin cross-border PoC on Canton. Direct JPY–KRW stablecoin conversion. Test tokens. No USD in the middle. That is the settlement question institutions keep asking: can cash move privately across borders on the same rail where assets will live? When size needs a private price on those rails, sealed quotes and atomic DvP are how the secondary trade settles.
Kyobo Life and SBI have completed a cross-border yen-won stablecoin test on Canton Network, modelling direct exchange without a dollar intermediate leg. South Korea's first cross-border institutional stablecoin test by an insurer. cantonnews.org/kyobo-life-an…

.@The_DTCC's Tokenization Service launches in October; a portion of DTC-custodied inventory becomes available for onchain workflows across Canton. Institutions are preparing for Treasuries, and later equities and ETFs, to move between traditional and tokenized form on demand. That supply needs a secondary path that does not broadcast size. On Swap Monster, counterparties trade via sealed quotes and settle both legs atomically on-chain as DvP. Stay tuned 👀

Public book leak size before you trade. Swap Monster is a private sealed-quote RFQ venue on Canton. You invite the counterparties you choose -> competing prices stay sealed from each other -> and assets stay in the trader's wallet until a quote is accepted; then both legs settle atomically.

From @GoldisinMyVienz 👇🏽🔥👌🏾 Swap Monster Brings Private ethereum:native Trading to @CantonNetwork Swap monster gives Canton Network what institutional markets depend on: a private venue for negotiating large trades without exposing size, pricing, or strategy to a public order book. The process begins with an RFQ, where a participant requests a quote from selected counterparties. Competing prices are returned privately, a preferred offer is chosen, and the asset settles directly with cash on Canton. The latest example is $CETH, OnRails Finance’s 1:1 wrapped version of ETH. Ethereum is deposited through OnRails, $CETH is minted on Canton, and the token can later be unwrapped back into ETH. Once inside Canton, $CETH can be traded through sealed RFQs on Swap.monster, combining private price discovery with atomic settlement. OnRails brings the asset into Canton, while Swap.monster provides the execution layer. Together, they show how crypto native liquidity can connect with Canton’s broader institutional ecosystem, creating a practical bridge between Ethereum exposure, private trading, and onchain settlement. The partnership also gives @SwapMonster_ a concrete live asset.
If you're not looking, you should be, because it is becoming evident that Ethereum has a large role to play even in the Canton Ecosystem, and this is just the beginning. More…🔥👇🏽👇🏽 medium.com/@j.razo7869/the-c…

CIP-112 on Canton is shared finality without shared visibility. Multi-party settlement where each role sees what it needs, not the whole book. When size has to move privately, that same shape matters at the venue layer: sealed quotes, assets in the trader's wallet until accepted, both legs settle together. That is the settlement pattern institutional size needs, and exactly what we are building for.

Native cash closes half the gap. Institutions still need a private way to price size. It means: sealed quotes, assets in the trader's wallet until accepted, and then atomic settlement. Tokenization is one thing; private trading at scale is another.
Tokenizing a Treasury is cool. But if the cash still lives somewhere else, you’ve only moved half the trade. Here's the simple version of what just changed 🧵

Franklin Templeton joining Canton as a Super Validator under CIP-0118 is the kind of institutional step that matters more than a launch headline. Issuance is one layer. On-chain treasury management and continuous create/redeem are another. Canton’s growth is showing up in the operator set: institutions that already run regulated money, now running the rails.
August Ecosystem Update 👀 ◽ Franklin Templeton (@FTDA_US) joined @CantonNetwork as a Super Validator under CIP-0118, expanding beyond issuance into on-chain treasury management and 24/7 create/redeem functionality. ◽ Canton Foundation's @JPandya26 joined @HackenClub for a live webinar on Daml security, covering authorization design, CIP-56 vs. ERC-20, and common mistakes EVM teams bring to Canton. ◽ @OpenZeppelin went live on Canton Network, backed by a Development Fund grant, bringing a Daml contracts library implementing the CIP-112 token standard plus four reference implementation designs. ◽ @CantonNetwork went live on Squid Intents, opening a new route to 100+ chains through a single intent-based execution flow. ◽ The Protocol Development Fund crossed 70M $CC distributed to ecosystem teams, continuing to back real R&D, tooling, and infrastructure work. ◽ Jatin joined builders from @PalladiumLabs, @Send, and @SatsTerminal for a live X Space on institutional adoption, privacy, and interoperability. ◽ The Canton Developer Hub brought docs, MCP resources, partner SDKs, WalletConnect resources, and LocalNet tools into one home for builders, with AI-powered workflows built in. ◽ A new LocalNet guide and the Canton Builder Tool shipped, spinning up a full local Canton Network in one command, no DevNet whitelisting required. ◽ Canton Foundation's Jatin Pandya spoke at @ETHBelgrade on DeFi's privacy trilemma, composability, privacy, and scale. ◽ @EdgeandNode joined Canton Foundation as a Member, already contributing to CIPs and Development Fund proposals. ◽ x402 continued its momentum on Canton, with @FTPWhatSoEver's infrastructure now powering real AI agent payments to merchants across the ecosystem. ◽ @Cantex_io launched Cantex Connect, bringing wallet-agnostic trading to its exchange, any wallet with a memo field can now swap, no SDK required. ◽ @Cantor8 hosted a hackathon in London alongside Oxford, Cambridge, and Imperial College, twelve hours of builders shipping on Daml. Governance, builders, infrastructure, and global presence, all moving together.

$TRAKXRWA is now live on Swap Monster. $TRAKXRWA is @official_trakx’s on-chain basket of tokens that they classify as real-world assets: real estate, art, commodities, credit, and the infrastructure that supports that activity. Size is requested as a sealed RFQ. Cash and the asset settle together on Canton.

Delivery versus payment is a settlement rule: the asset and the cash move together, or neither does. Neither side is left holding an unpaid leg. On Canton, a DvP app has to support atomic execution, privacy by design, and cross-synchronizer composition. That is how a trade works on Swap Monster. Size is requested as a sealed RFQ, so the quote stays private. The trade exists only when both legs settle. Cash and the asset move in one on-chain transaction, even when they are different instruments, with no custodian between the legs and no pool to slip through. This is how on-chain institutional flow works.
.@Tradeweb, @VirtuFinancial, and @m1xglobal completed a fully on-chain repo on Canton on 27 August: the securities leg, the cash, and the return settled atomically in under ten minutes. Collateral was USDM1, a Marshall Islands sovereign digital bond backed one-to-one by short-dated Treasuries, executed bilaterally on Tradeweb. Atomic settlement is the point. On Swap Monster, size is requested as a sealed RFQ, and cash and the asset settle together in one on-chain transaction, the same property this repo used.
