I see you weren’t happy about the Jason Arday pile on, but more than happy to lead the pile on of a singer who won’t talk about Palestine.

JD Vance peddling the line that the deal will work because Iran has the chance, even minded, to become a ‘normal country’. You’d think after 47 years America would have learned this won’t happen as long as the country is in the grip of hardline Islamist generals/mullahs — which, after Trump’s failed war, it still is, in fact, more so than ever.

I'm sorry, but this is unbelievable. The Israelis must be furious. He has gone senile and should be removed from White House. This is the biggest foreign policy blunder from any American president, and that's saying something. World leader, he is a disgrace.
The US has circulated its version of the Memo of Understanding with Iran to G7 leaders in France. It’s as bad if not worse than expected. — The moment it’s signed (Friday) sanctions on the export of Iran oil are lifted. So the regime can start replenishing its coffers immediately. — The US commits to doing nothing to undermine or destabilise the Iranian regime (it started the war to remove it). — The US specifically commits to ending its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz but Iran does not commit specifically to returning the Strait to toll/fee free transit exactly as before the war, with no Iranian control/regulation whatsoever . — All sanctions against Iran will be dropped should phase two negotiations go well. And America will withdraw its forces from the region. — The US ‘undertakes’ to work with Iran and Gulf allies to create a $300 billion reconstruction package for Iran. So America will now become a partner with the tyrants of Tehran, who Trump only recently wanted to overthrow, in rebuilding their economy. — All matters related to Iran’s nuclear capabilities are kicked into the ‘final agreement’ in 60 days time (or longer if necessary). — No mention of Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities or its financing of terrorist proxies. And that’s just about it. When Trump insisted the war would only end with ‘unconditional surrender’ it never crossed my mind he meant his own.

🚨 MPs’ renting scandal just went nuclear — and the snout-in-the-trough champion of the week is none other than Labour’s own Deputy Leader, Lucy Powell. It’s now been exposed that a whole string of MPs have been renting rooms and entire homes to each other at full taxpayer expense. Powell raked in over £30,000 last year alone by renting out a room to another MP. Taxpayer-funded second homes, taxpayer-funded rents flowing straight into fellow MPs’ pockets — a cosy little Westminster property scam that makes the old expenses scandal look like pocket change. This is the same Labour Party that lectures working Brits about “fairness”, “austerity” and “paying your share” while their own elite treat Parliament like a private members’ club with an unlimited bar tab on your dime. While British families are crushed by sky-high rents, energy bills and taxes to fund this circus, Labour insiders are quietly lining their nests by renting to one another — all perfectly “within the rules,” of course. Because in two-tier Britain, the rules are written by the grifters for the grifters. Lucy Powell isn’t some backbencher caught with her hand in the till. She’s the Deputy Leader. The second most senior figure in Starmer’s government. The same government that’s busy hiking your taxes, slashing services and telling you to tighten your belt while they play Monopoly with public money. This isn’t a mistake. This isn’t an oversight. This is systemic corruption dressed up as “MP accommodation.” The silent majority has had enough of these champagne socialists treating the British taxpayer like a bottomless ATM. We pay for their second homes, their rents, their expenses — while our own kids can’t get on the housing ladder and pensioners choose between heating and eating. We demand: ✅ Immediate full public audit of every MP’s property dealings and expenses — names, amounts, everything. ✅ Resignations for anyone caught in this rental racket — starting with Lucy Powell. ✅ A complete overhaul of the MPs’ expenses system — no more second homes, no more self-dealing, no more pigs at the trough. ✅ Real consequences for the entitled elite who think the rules don’t apply to them. Labour isn’t just failing Britain. It’s looting it — one taxpayer-funded rental agreement at a time. Starmer Out. Powell Out. The whole rotten Westminster cartel out. The British people are watching. And this time we’re not forgetting. 🇬🇧 #MPSRentingScandal #LucyPowellExposed #TwoTierBritain #LabourGrift #RestoreBritain #PutBritainFirst #MPsExpenses #BritainIsBroken #EndTheCorruption

I genuinely believe this is the worst government of my lifetime. Starmer isn’t governing, he believes he's a ruling. He wields the Royal Prerogative like he's a king, bypassing Parliament, bypassing the people, making constitutional changes simply because he can. Make no mistake: British industry, agriculture, fishing, even our Net Zero policies, are now steered by EU control. Quietly. Permanently. We didn’t vote for this. Millions would vote against it. But Starmer doesn’t believe in you. He believes in himself and the ideology of the unelected liberal institutions that fuel his agenda. This government is economically illiterate, driven by ideology, not reality. Behind Starmer sit swathes of civil servants and quangos, channelling UN policies which you would never vote for and Starmer slavishly adopts, with no regard for our exploding almost unserviceable debt, The bubble will burst and when it does, this authoritarian government will flex even more muscle to control the dissatisfaction and the public backlash that will surely follow, as the working population continues to shrink and is told to carry the weight of an ever more demanding and out of control welfare state. There may be little left for Reform, or anyone else, after four more years of this. Just saying 🤷‍♀️

⚡️🚨‼️Well done @pritipatel for picking up on this re. the Chagos scandal… The day after Starmer and Lammy gave the sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, the Mauritian and Russian governments signed an agreement on agriculture, fisheries and “marine research”. There is absolutely now way that those two government negotiated and signed that agreement in one day. They’ve been cooking it up covertly between them for months, which, in itself, tells you it’s dodgy. Given Starmer and Lammy have given Mauritius full sovereignty over “the land and territorial sea of Diego Garcia, including the seabed and subsoil… including fisheries… [and] the marine environment” this agreement with Russia potentially allows Russia access to the sea around the base on Diego Garcia, the very same base that Starmer told you he’d secured. Below is a screenshot from Google maps of the island so that you can see just how vulnerable to Russian surveillance this vital base now is. At best, Starmer and Lammy are guilty of stunning ineptitude, at worst, they’ve been deliberately aiding a foreign, hostile power. Which is it Prime Minister? There’s also the resource angle. Don’t try to tell me that the Russians won’t now start harvesting the fish and mineral resources in and under the 544,000 square kilometres of sea that were, until Starmer’s deal, ours. What environmental damage will that cause and what resources have we lost. What with this and Starmer’s appalling deal with the EU, it’s impossible to believe that this government cares a jot about the UK and the interests of the British people.

This is a catastrophe for everybody involved, including the US. (Long-Term)
UK is finalising the Chagos deal with Mauritius and not seeking a further sign off from the US. We remain opposed to the deal, struck without Chagossian involvement and ceding Chagossian rights of return and self determination to Mauritius. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c230…
