Kanchipuram dt is an old Palar delta, fertile soil with high rainfall. Sadly, TN is a basket case of bad landuse mgmt, due to red & green towel “political” groups, we can’t industrialise dry lands of west TN(groundwater level >1000ft), forced to build industry in fertile KTCC 1/2
One of Most beautiful village in Kanchipuram - Keezhambi 😍.
Situated approximately 8 to 10 kilometers west of Kanchipuram town near the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway (NH 48), it serves as a rapidly growing suburban area blending rural heritage with modern connectivity

If we go by Geography, Chennai should focus on service and high tech jobs, industries should be flourished in dry plains of west & South TN. (Tiruppur, Kovai, west Dindigul, Salem, Nellai, Sivagangai, Ramnad, VNR). But green and red towels won’t allow to implement the plan 2/2

Due to complex socio-economic and colonial policy, most of the industries in T.N. are located in few urban pockets, creating new industrial ecosystems that required road, rail, electricity, and port is very difficult to politically motivated different colored towel groups

All these led to very bad landuse management in Tamil Nadu where we are protecting farming in waterless, less fertile dry regions and destroying fertile region for economic opportunity

Agriculture is the most water consuming activity, many industries need less water (recycling is possible). TN should not attract water intensive industries like Textile , sadly we lead in that area. We do everything against our geography
Remember 2400 paddy farmers consume equivalent fresh water of all industries in Chennai metropolitan region put together. Solution to our water issue is to Invest in less polluting industry and service sector. Stop glorifying Agriculture
