The normie reaction to @UsePaid is telling me that this would work if the money showed up in a boa account.

There's currently a crypto pump on a "p(doom)" coin, which I hesitate to call a "scam" because apparently everyone knows exactly how it works and does it anyway, which has decided on its own to send my X Money account some of the transaction fees. Cryptids may comment here. Comments on all other threads of mine will be removed and blocked. Any money you put into this system will probably vaporize to pay off earlier gamblers and you will never see it again. But so far as I know, some of the transaction fees do automatically get deposited in my X money account. This reception does not involve any UI action from me. There is not actually an option to turn it off. So if you already insist on playing that game anyway, I guess... Given that amounts have allegedly reached 5 figures (though I've so far only seen 4 figures deposited), I guess I will maybe possibly figure out something interesting to do with the after-tax money, though I make zero promises for having the time. A lot of the good uses for money that one can fund through the 501c3 ecosystem are already covered. I might nonetheless, for example, no promises, put the money into an insane startup trying for human cognitive augmentation, if one comes my way. Or pay back some friend doing something worthwhile who is otherwise not directly 501c3-fundable. Or failing that put it into a 501c4. This is absolutely not any kind of legal financial representation. If you would like to directly send money to a worthy cause, rather than gambling/vaporizing it in a way that maybe sends a small fraction to my personal X money account, my current top candidate is Lightcone Infrastructure. Lightcone is a registered 501c3 which operates one of the systems that usually directs charitable funds in AI notkilleveryoneism, and is currently (overly IMO) scrupulous and excludes itself from the candidates for where money can flow. So while we've made progress on sending money to most places it needs to be inside AI notkilleveryoneism -- despite various (often EA) groups and interests trying to kill us generally and Lightcone specifically -- Lightcone Infrastructure itself remains hugely underfunded. Lightcone accepts almost every kind of donation mode, including crypto and stock transfers. LightconeInfrastructure dot com, click "Donate" in upper right hand corner.

Replying to @DavidSacks
Wouldn’t a simpler rule be: Do what the user wants, provided it’s legal. If you align the model to an 84-page constitution that can overrule both the user and its creators, don’t act shocked when it treats humans as optional.

Armani is a national treasure. The ultimate comeback story.
INSIGHT: @Backpack CEO @armaniferrante says they want to bring the full US stock market to Solana (10,000 symbols) via one API.

Not 10. Not 100. 10,000 - the whole market onchain. Real ownership, brokerage and DeFi finally starting to speak the same language. That’s when it gets really interesting
Armani Ferrante, CEO of Backpack, on what comes next for tokenized stocks. "Not 10 stocks, not 100 stocks. We want to bring the entire stock market to Solana. One API where a real share, by any definition of the term, moves back and forth between your brokerage account and DeFi. Going from 200 symbols to 10,000 is the next leap." @armaniferrante @Backpack

the midcurving on SOL comes from a profound cynicism about crypto's future what's going to happen is that crypto adoption is going to 100x it will not just be perps, or RWAs, or memes -- it will be all of it the totality of old finance combined with the weirdness of new finance, at planetary scale and at that game, Solana is king to that effect, one framing I've been riffing on: SOL is new money 'new' is a powerful & optimistic word -- it represents possibility and the infinite, rather than marginally optimizing spreadsheet accounting it is too early in the game to treat novel internet money as it were a derivative of Costco stock. blockchains that scale are barely 2-3 years old it's 2004, you can opt for JP Morgan or you can go for Apple neither are wrong, but one is more optimistic

based. EA doomercult absolutely sidelined
There seems to be two adminstration policies taking shape now: Developers and management are responsible for agents actions, agents cannot be blamed. And If you want to pace development, go ahead and place yourself as much as you like, but don't tell anyone else what to do.

BREAKING: The SEC just issued new guidance on crypto tokens, staking, and investment contracts. 1. Once a crypto network is functional, work to maintain, improve, or grow it no longer counts as "essential managerial efforts" under the Howey test. 2. Staking receipt tokens can be treated as digital commodities, not securities, depending on how they're structured. 3. A crypto asset itself can be a non-security, even if some transactions involving it are still investment contracts. 4. The SEC's framework now covers digital commodities, digital collectibles, digital tools, stablecoins, and digital securities. These FAQs reflect SEC staff views only and carry no legal force, unless the Commission itself adopts a formal rule later. Another major step toward clearer crypto rules in the U.S.
