The students coming out of journalism school are trained to have activist viewpoints in their reporting. The concept of unbiased investigation and reporting the facts has gone by the wayside. You see this everyday on topics like immigration, policing/public safety, climate change etc. They have a narrative to push and actively suppress any counter narrative.

You can like or dislike Tommy Robinson, but if you disagree with him, can you tell me specifically what he said in this entire video that was wrong? I think we’ve developed a culture in the UK, and parts of the West more broadly, where disagreeing with someone politically means automatically dismissing everything they say, regardless of the merits of the individual point. It’s reached a point where agreeing with someone on a single issue means you’re viewed to subscribe to everything they stand for, and if you don’t conform to your political “side”, you become an outsider. There almost seems to be a fear among some on the so-called left that agreeing with a single point made by someone on the right somehow compromises their own political identity. You can agree with an argument without agreeing with the person or everything else they stand for. That’s the problem with reducing complex political views to a simple left-versus-right spectrum. People start treating politics like opposing teams rather than judging individual arguments on their own merits.
