I went into 3 shops today & was asked would I like a bag, I said was it free & was told no. One shop said 15p for paper bag with shop advertised 2nd shop 30p for paper bag with shop advertised 3rd shop 50p for paper bag with shop advertised I refused all because the whole purpose of charging us for bags was to reduce plastic. So why are we being charged for paper bags? It’s all been one big scam to pass the cost onto us.

The biggest single factor that has held this country back isn’t Brexit. It’s the constant arguing about Brexit. It has kneecapped us for a decade. Losers consent matters. If the country just pulled together we really could thrive but so many simply won’t. They see the EU through rose tinted glasses and never consider the flip side. Rather than working together we all push against each other resulting in our politicians looking back to the past as opposed to forging our future. We simply do not have to be in the EU to grow the economy - we really don’t. The biggest lie of all is that the EU wants the UK to thrive. They don’t. They want us back to pay their bills, clip our wings, keep us under their regulatory thumb and to get cheap food on their tables.

It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel. If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.

This rings true and makes very scary reading. Our government is showing unwise leadership and traitorous behaviour towards the people of the UK. If we question, we are branded as ‘far right’. So be it. Troubled times are coming. Lord, help us!
A Negligent Government, Warned and Unmoved Iran has told Britain, in its own words, that it treats the Channel as a weapon. Iranian officials said their smuggling routes are "owned" in part by the IRGC and are "more useful" to Tehran than a missile, because they can move "revolutionary people" into London who simply wait to be told what to do. Tehran's own officials said this, on the record, describing the method themselves. Sir Ken McCallum, the head of MI5, has said his agency has foiled more than twenty potentially lethal Iran-backed plots on British soil. Lord Walney's report found a network of UK charities spreading Khomeinist ideology, several in receipt of Gift Aid, with governance links to Iranian state institutions. The IRGC's Islamic Radio and Television Union operates openly from Manchester and Wembley, broadcasting praise for Hamas and Hezbollah commanders as martyrs. In September, the IRGC addressed an open letter not to the American public generally but specifically to "scholars, students, and members of the media", naming the audience it has judged most useful to its message. Every detail here is published record from the last twelve months, not speculation. Then came RAF Fairford. Five British men were arrested near the base used by US bombers in operations against Iran, then bailed. A sixth man, a UK-Iranian dual national, was arrested in Westminster on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts and has also been bailed. Andy Burnham told the BBC there were "strong indications" Iran was involved. Benjamin Netanyahu has since claimed Israel handed British authorities intelligence warning of an "Iranian-sponsored attack", only for Britain to announce sanctions on Israeli settlement trade the following day. Whatever the truth of that sequence, a Prime Minister has publicly linked a hostile state to an attempted attack on a British airbase, and the men investigated over it are walking free on bail. This is the government that continues to welcome boats carrying record numbers of unvetted arrivals, dispersing them across the country, no verification against watchlists and no way of ruling out exactly the embedding Iran itself has described. A government cannot claim ignorance of a threat it has proscribed. It designated the IRGC under state-threat powers in July. It has read Walney's report. It has heard its own intelligence chief's warnings. And it continues operating a system Jonathan Hall KC has already found releases people before checks are complete. Call it what it is. A government told exactly what the threat looks like and still failing to close the gap it moves through is negligence. Continuing to process record Channel numbers through a system its own reviewer says cannot reliably verify who is arriving is recklessness. And when ministers call for calm, dismiss the question as alarmist, or sanction the very ally offering intelligence on the threat, the word edging into view is complicity, not with Tehran's aims, but with the conditions that let Tehran's method keep working. Russia weaponises migration on NATO's eastern border, and Western governments say so plainly. Iran has told Britain, through its own officials, that it does the same across the Channel. The difference is that nobody in Warsaw or Vilnius pretends not to have heard it. Britain has heard it from Tehran directly, confirmed it through its own intelligence service, and chosen to keep the door exactly as open as before. Nobody in government can say they were not warned. The warnings came from Iran's own mouth. Prime Minister, Andy Burnham and Mojtaba Khamenei, the Iranian Supreme Leader. "Iran has told Britain, in its own words, that it treats the Channel as a weapon."

My political awareness, unlike most of the morons on Twitter, began with watching Labour preside over a shambles, socially, economically & strategic statecraft in the '60s/'70s. I did my homework by candles, walked to school past streets of litter, watched strike after strike on TV & listened to British humiliation abroad. If Burnham's ideas are allowed to develop I will end my days watching the current idiots (who weren't there) replay the same old stupid ideological nonsense with the same old disastrous results. Unserious people

I also see that some numpty of a Labour politician wants the pension age raised to 70. Nearly 50% of people aged 65 to 74 in the UK suffer from at least one long-term medical condition, the most widespread chronic issues involve musculoskeletal systems (eg: arthritis), heart and circulatory diseases, respiratory problems, and endocrine conditions like diabetes. To hear MPs and so-called leaders not understand this is proof, if ever it was needed, that in politics, stupidity is not a handicap.

.@andyburnham No, you haven't set out a different path for Britain. You've delivered a conference wish list and called it a plan. A National Care Service in the next Parliament. Pension reform from 2030. A commission on electoral reform. A European "reset" still to be negotiated. "Greater public control" without explaining what it will cost or how it will work. Meanwhile, what happens now? How will you stop illegal Channel crossings and remove those with no right to remain? Where is the credible plan for cheap, reliable energy? How will you restore growth and get public spending under control? You're not Leader of the Opposition. You're Prime Minister, with a large Commons majority and the power to act now. So spare us the promise to "hope again". Tell us what you will deliver now, how you will deliver it, what it will cost and when we will see the results. The country doesn't need another promise of what Britain might become after 2029. It needs you to govern the country you lead today.
A new National Care Service. Greater public control of water, energy, and housing. A National Commission on Electoral Reform. Strengthening our relationship with Europe. Reforming the education and welfare system. Today I set out a different path for Britain. You may disagree with some or all of what I have said today. But I have given you what you often say is missing from politics. Honesty, ideas and a clear direction for the country we all love. If you agree with enough of what I have said, get behind this plan. And get behind each other. It's time to draw a line. To move beyond a decade of drift and division. To bring a spirit of unity and positivity back to our country. To unlock the working-class aspiration that is still there in every postcode. To hope again.

It comes to something when you have to delete a post on X because the number of responses are more than you can keep up with blocking. Who knew a post about the packaging of minced beef would bring out so many rude, foul-mouthed responses.

A father of two children has been jailed after throwing a plastic bottle at the police and swearing at officers during the illegal migrant protest in Portsmouth. Sentenced to a two year prison sentence. The judge said it would act 'as a deterrent' Now, let me be abundantly clear. I do not believe that any violence against the police is acceptable. I also do not believe that a two year prison sentence is appropriate, particularly when we are allowing paedophiles and rapists to roam our streets because of a supposed lack of prison capacity. The BBC reports the man 'said he had found the bottle on the ground and was going to throw it into a nearby bush, but was angry and so threw it up into the air.' Reportedly, he told the officers to 'f*** off' and 'pointed aggressively' at them (ITV). I can understand the anger, to be honest. This was happening as illegal migrants were being ferried into his town. This sentence is unfair, unjust and morally wrong. Let's be honest about what has happened here. The establishment is making an example of this man to deter others from protesting. A two year sentence is absolutely outrageous - there are far better ways for him to make right the wrong. The third world invaders are greeted to luxury accommodation as heroes, yet this man will rot in prison. It's not right.

BREAKING: the Hulbert Walter award has now been rescinded. What an utter embarrassment for the woke Archbishop of Canterbury. The award was given to the Islamic cleric by the Archbishop on 9/11, a man who had previously praised Osama Bin Laden. Statement from Lambeth Palace: “previous comments made by Imam Ashrafi have come to light that have led Lambeth Palace to reconsider this award and we can now confirm today that the award has been withdrawn.”

I’m pretty sure if I sprayed paint over my local council building, the local supermarket or a lamppost I would be arrested, charged and convicted of criminal damage… if I was tried at any court outside of Southwark or central London. 🙄
