Congratulations to @karaokecomputer for his documentary- “Mālama Mākua”. Learned so much about the struggle of Hawaiian communities terrorized by American military bases on their lands & the havoc they wreak on the environment, at the screening in San Francisco’s Artist Television Access community space last night.
This documentary fits so well under the umbrella of @EmpireFiles that talks about thousands of American bases around the world & the absolute devastation they’re causing the environment all around. From Hawaii, to Palestine, the indigenous struggle against violence & land grab ties everything we are facing, together.
The US military is reducing its presence in Hawaii, but now they’ve found indigenous untouched land in Greenland for exploitation.
Ultimately it all affects us. The banishment of American military from all its bases is essential to the survival of our planet.
Anyways, it’s so reaffirming meeting Twitter mutuals in person & knowing that we are all out there doing good work in various different ways. 🌺

I’m a labor organizer and last week, right before the strike vote, I was suddenly banned from the premises of the hospital whose workers I represent.
We still kicked ass in the vote held right outside their hospital doors with more visibility because workers got more pissed off at their employer for revoking my access and union busting.
As a result, we got the highest participation of any action and 96% yes vote for a strike.
Definitely feeling proud of myself that a multi billion dollar corporation needed me out of their way to protect its profits. Lil ol me.

This was in 1931, long before India got its freedom by begging the British (Gandhi’ way).
This man was my inspiration as I was growing up. Right wing Modi loving Hindus claim him as a nationalist but Bhagat Singh was a Marxist Leninist, who had lots of critiques of liberals and he also did not adhere to non violence as a way to fight colonization.
If Bhagat Singh was alive today, he would be in solidarity with Hamas, PFLP, Hezbollah and Ansarallah.

Narendra Modi has looted Indians, and there has been an ENORMOUS transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich. Also India frequently exercises apartheid against the Indigenous, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs, more intensely than usual, under his regime. Him aligning with Israel/US, is a direct benefit to those billionaires who fund him & his cronies & keeps them in power AT THE COST to Indians.
Modi supporting Indians’ biggest concern is hindu domination, affirmative action (reservation system to uplift lower castes who have been subjugated for millennia) and how huge their GDP is.
This feeling of religious domination replaces the feeling of inadequacy in their personal economics and other factors that make a society flourish.
