Your approach to governing is still abstract theory building, the way you did with your "end of history". You offer little analysis of data. You claim that China mishandled Covid opening without offering any evidence nor analysis.

The Asian Tigers developed rapidly under authoritarian gov. So did China. Taiwan econ languished after becoming a democracy and S. Korea ex-presidents are jailed at an alarming rate, not to mention suicides.

Democracy has its advantages, but it is at most "the worst system except for everything else that has been tried" and this is only mostly true in the well educated and communal Nordic countries. Recycling old ideological platitudes is hardly convincing.
