Thanks for a fun chat, @vicky_woodburn, @GoesslerAlyssa, and Taylor Jordan!
A few shots from @payloadspace's Off World in Houston, where Industrious Ventures Partner @TaylorCSargent joined Taylor Jordan of the Office of Space Commerce and Alyssa Goessler Goodwin of AE Industrial Partners for a conversation on investing in the space economy, where capital is flowing, and what it takes to build enduring companies in the sector. Thanks to Victoria Woodburn and the Payload team for bringing together a great group!

.@itsmoislam and I took our live show on the road for the first time this week. We set the broadcast in front of the Apollo 17 command module at our Off World conference at Space Center Houston. We chose the spot (in addition to it being insanely cool and historic) because Apollo 17 was the last time humans landed on the Moon more than 50 years ago. And now, as we are oh so close to finally going back, the conference was bringing together industry folks to figure out what the 21st-century version of landing and living on the Moon will look like. We have become more and more convinced that live, authentic, unscripted video content will play an increasingly important role in media consumption, even for B2B publications like ours. That's interviews, analysis, and short 1.5 min thought leadership clips. We are tripling down on high-quality video content. That's with our bi-weekly show and partnership at the NYSE. And now at our events, tying our content together. Was a great show this week. Moon bases, investing in space exploration, rovers, and nuclear power. We interviewed Carlos Garcia-Galan (NASA Moon base program manager), @tybernstein (Zeno Power), @GoesslerAlyssa (AE Industrial Partners), AJ Gemer (Lunar Outpost), @endeffector (Astrolab), and @TaylorCSargent (Industrious Ventures). As always, will post clips of the important moments from the interviews.

Autonomous and cost effective satellite servicing is on the horizon.
We are proud to announce that our first Otter is going to space! Announced last night at a celebration that brought together hundreds of guests from across the space industry, the launch of our first Otter marks the start of our commercial satellite servicing operations. This is a big moment for Starfish Space. We’ve spent years developing, iterating, and proving out the key technologies required for affordable, available satellite servicing. Now we’re launching Otters, putting our satellite servicing vehicles to work for customers in orbit. Otter is scheduled to launch no earlier than October 2026 aboard the Transporter-18 rideshare mission with SpaceX.

To clear up some confusion in the media: The U.S Army currently has five companies and only five companies under contract to build commercial nuclear reactors through the Janus Program: Antares, BWXT, General Atomics, Radiant, and Westinghouse.

The foundations of physics are ultimately mathematical, the foundation of math are ultimately computational, and the foundations of computation are ultimately physical.
I guess it really might be the case that math and physics are just apps of computer science.

This is the way
Next year, we're going to launch a spacecraft that will be given zero commands from Earth after it separates from the launch vehicle. The spacecraft will attempt to complete all of its mission objectives with no human operator in the loop. Today we’re introducing Autonomy-1, powered by our spacecraft intelligence model, Solo. 🧵

Lunar infrastructure won't stay where it lands. The Eagle Lunar Terrain Vehicle's heavy towing capabilities enable it to move and deploy habitats, power systems, communications infrastructure, and other critical assets across the lunar surface. Equipped with independent electric wheel motors and @goodyear's airless wire mesh tires, Eagle is built to navigate heavy towing in loose regolith and 1/6th gravity.

Quick reminder of the trend we are facing. In the 60s/70s, the top career choice for children was astronaut. Now, with only 11% interested, it's a distant 5th behind careers like influencer/YouTuber. In China, 56% of children are interested in being an astronaut. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Awesome news. In 22 years we should have robust in-space servicing. Who knows how long this thing could last!
Great news! The launch of Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope was so accurate (thanks @SpaceX Falcon Heavy), as well as an accurate mid course correction means ROMAN could have a 22 year life span with its fuel on board!!! Love to hear it! science.nasa.gov/blogs/roman…
