One of the great privileges of my career has been getting to know athletes from all over the world and watching DC become home to so many of them. Our teams bring together players shaped by different cultures, communities and experiences. Players who may have grown up thousands of miles apart come together as teammates. They learn from one another, compete for one another and work toward something larger than themselves. Washington is such a fitting place for that to happen.
