BREAKING: Donald Trump is now considering a new attack plan directed at the nerve center of Iran's oil industry, with the U.S. president discussing options with senior advisers, Pentagon officials and the CIA to strike Kharg Island — the terminal handling roughly 90% of Iran's crude exports and holding about 30 million barrels in storage capacity, per a UAE-based Erem News report cited by Israel Hayom. The proposed options include strikes on oil tanks, pipelines, tanker loading facilities and military sites on the island, aimed at forcing Tehran to abandon its preconditions and accept negotiations on the nuclear program and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz before the November 3 midterms. Kharg is the single point through which nearly all of Iran's oil revenue flows. If Washington strikes it, the war stops being about the Strait of Hormuz and becomes about cutting Iran's economic lifeline entirely — and Iran has already promised to burn the Gulf's energy infrastructure in return.
