A busy and memorable week for GCSAA President Paul Carter.
The week began in Ohio with a visit to Sylvania Country Club, the site of the very first GCSAA meeting. The club rededicated the plaque outside the clubhouse commemorating the organization’s beginnings, and Paul had the opportunity to play a round of golf at the place where it all started.
From there, it was on to Shinnecock Hills for the U.S. Open. Paul spent time with the agronomy volunteers helping prepare one of golf’s biggest stages and joined fellow leaders for the GCSAA Foundation Board of Trustees meeting.
From honoring the history of our association to supporting the future of the game, it was a week that showcased the impact of golf course management at every level. ⛳️
