Ever since I started making knives, I’ve dreamed of creating a matching set of hunting knives for a father and child to share—not just as tools, but as something that could become part of their story.
A set meant to be used together in the backwoods, around the campfire, and out in the field. Something a parent could use to teach their child, creating memories and passing down skills that last a lifetime.
I’m calling this set “The Bloodline.”
The larger knife is the “Backwoods Legacy,” and the smaller is the “Young Buck.”
Every part of these knives was made to belong together.
Both knives were crafted from the same pieces of material—the same steel, the same wood, the same pins, and even matching sheath materials. Nothing was chosen at random. Every detail was designed to make these knives a true pair.
The only difference is size.
The “Young Buck” is roughly 20% smaller than the “Backwoods Legacy,” giving younger hands a more comfortable and manageable knife while still maintaining the strength and functionality needed in the field.
And even though it was designed with smaller hands in mind, the Young Buck remains comfortable and capable in larger hands too.
