Grace is free. If it has to be earned, deserved, or maintained by your performance, it isn’t grace

Grace by definition is unearned. However, it is not cheap meaning it is not given to those who cling to their self-atoning attempts. This is why we recognize that repentance is absolutely a part of receiving the Lord.

To those who preach another gospel than the one that was given to us by the apostles through Jesus Christ, let them be accursed.

For the scripture say we are justified by faith alone (Rom 3:28,Gal 2:16). Where does faith come from? From hearing the message about Christ(Rom 10:17) What is the message? The gospel of our salvation, the Good News of Christ which saves us, to those who believe.(1 Cor 15:1-5)

John 6:29 « 29. Jesus replied, “This is the work of God — that you believe in the one he has sent.” » John 6:63 “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”
