Black Christians like other USA Christians are leaving their historic & declining denominations in favor of nondenominational churches.
My observation is that a growing number of traditionally black Protestants, particularly in the suburbs, are now attending evangelical megachurches. This will scramble some of the analysis as these surveys are based on the kind of church someone attends.

Today I explained to German Catholic friend that USA non-Catholic Christianity is essentially nondenominational evangelical/Baptist/Pentecostal. Everybody else is a niche community on the margins: Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Anglican.

This is a real pastoral concern. I’m thankful that Mark said it. I never worry about CN’s getting their “Christian Robespierre.” I do worry about people being led astray into a political “By-Path Meadow.”
Hypothesis: Christian Nationalism will never achieve a confessional state in USA. But it’s still destructive for leading Christians into futile cul-de-sacs, for fostering despair about & disdain for democracy & religious freedom, & for cultivating unhealthy attitudes about non-Christians.
