JUST IN : I just spoke to the Eswatini government spokesperson Thabile Mdluli. She says she doesnโt want to come on air or to confirm whether or not any of the criminals travelled via South Africa. I tried to press her and asked โbut can you assure us that they were not released to transit via SA?โ, she responded with โWe are not revealing the transit countries, Clement.โ We don't want to cause unnecessary panicโ she says.
@ClaysonMonyela donโt you think itโs weird that they are refusing to confirm that these criminals didnโt transit via SA upon their release?

Mr M (the father of the 16-year-old) was preassured by "Khumalo and Mkhwanazi" to continue pursuing the matter against Sibiya.
She claims the "apostle" told the her that Mr. M wanted to drop the charges after he saw Sibiya weeping in the dock at the Randburg Magistrateโs Court; however, Sibiyaโs wife thought it was all a set-up and said they must just continue with the case.

Then be transparent about it. You canโt ask someone to stay at home on the basis of charges, but when charges are dropped you keep them at home, without even explaining the basis for that.
Perhaps due dilligence is being applied, maybe theyre looking into everything to ensure nothing else will now pop up later on. That would be embarassing.
Perhaps there may well be a discussion to mutually seperate i.e. golden handshake, early retirement etc.

So then my question stands, why hasnโt the president cleared him to go back to work? What exactly is under consideration? If the basis for asking him to stay at home was the charges he faced, how could you continue that, if the charges have been dropped for what, 3 weeks now? Whatโs the basis for keeping him at home? If the basis for him staying at home was the charges?
He did that even before he was charged. Went to ad hoc twice but he was suspended for charges. The charges are gone. The reasons have been ventilated. If he was never meant to be charged logic dictates that he was never meant to be suspended.

Wrong? Only criminal charges were widrewn, but still have to account to parliament on the (PFMA) violations, which the date is set according to parliament secretary. Then his not cleared to be reinstated ๐

100% agree. But then again, itโs the same home affairs department thatโs raising alarm that this directive is going to burden the department. They should communicate how they plan to deal with the burden on administration. Because even the department itself admits it doesnโt have enough capacity.
The @HomeAffairsSA or the interministerial committee on migration needs to do far more to counter the hysteria surrounding the directive on asylum seekers arising from the Constitutional Court judgment. Online bot accounts and anti-immigration groups appear to be using it to mobilise renewed opposition to migrants.
Much of this hysteria rests on misrepresentations of both the directive and the judgment fuelling a deeply sinister narrative.
