This lesson was basically about focusing on the things within your control, and honestly, I think creators need this reminder. We set goals like: “I want 10k followers.” “I want 100k impressions.” “I want more brand deals.” And there’s nothing wrong with wanting any of those things. The problem is when that becomes the only way we measure whether we’re doing well. Because you can’t force someone to follow you. You can’t force a post to go viral. You can’t force a brand to reply to your pitch. But you can decide how often you post, how much you improve, how many people you pitch, how much you experiment and how long you’re willing to keep going. Those are the things I think we should be paying more attention to. Don’t stop having big outcome goals. Just give yourself smaller goals you can actually control. Because sometimes the win isn’t the number you wanted. Sometimes it’s simply that you did what you said you were going to do.
