I spent my entire life planning for retirement with Social Security a major part of it and paid into the systems as a young person so that the older generation could have some support
I’ll make a deal with you, pay me back every penny I put into it and every penny my employers put into it on my behalf at 5% interest and you can take away the monthly checks.

Our replacement rates are at record lows, and a huge part of that is because none of my generation has any money for houses or enough to raise children.

Young families already have to deal with an economy where everything is exponentially more expensive than it was for Boomers at the same age. Older people clamoring to raise taxes on the young, on top of it all, is just perverse.
89% percent of baby boomers back higher taxes on younger Americans as a means to protect their Social Security benefits.
84% of those aged 55 to 64 also support tax hikes on young Americans who, on average, suffer an inferior quality of life to their parents.
