I don't usually respond to public criticism, but sometimes it's helpful to "answer a fool according to his folly" (Proverbs 26:5), to help more naive onlookers realize who are bad actors. BOMBSHELL: The same people who constantly accuse churches of being unsafe places because predators can go undetected discover a church REALLY cares about the safety of our people and has significant surveillance (ESPECIALLY in Kids' Ministry Areas) and security measures. Guilty as charged, our stated goal is for Lakepointe to be the safest place in Texas when we gather for worship. 2 CHOICES: 1) "Churches are unsafe places because predators can go undetected" 2) "Churches are evil because they have significant safety and surveillance measures, especially in Kids' Ministry Areas." ^^^Pick a lane! :)
