European Union: I am really struggling to see how petty rules about the power of vacuum cleaners and the bend in bananas contribute to the 'Peace in Europe' that Remainers attribute to the EU (founded 1993). Can anyone explain how having more powerful hoovers would lead to war? Beats me!

NATO has ensured peace in Europe You have made a false equivalence with sensible rules made by the EU and peace In Europe But do you think the rules that you mentioned are sensible or not Seems a bit odd to be scared of a vacuum

"sensible" EU rules were strong enough to cause Brexit. & other countries looking at leaving. Massive social unrest in all the countries that implemented Schengen. Does burning out Jews count as "improving peace in Europe"?
