Last night, AFP Ohio volunteers called on their state lawmakers to give Ohio families a break at the pump. Statehouse leaders recently announced they're heading back to Columbus to vote on a 90-day gas tax holiday. We're grateful to see lawmakers listening to Ohioans who are hurting at the pump, and proud of every volunteer who made a call. Thank you to everyone stepping up! I've definitely ruffled feathers in my 1st Term. Saying the uncomfortable facts about the size and taxation and spending of government doesn't gain you a lot of friends in the system, but it does get us closer to real changes that better your pocketbooks as taxpayers. I break down our duplication of government problem and promise to work on this in Term 2.

DC Democrats just blocked @SenJonHusted’s bill that would have held data center builders responsible for their own energy and prevent homeowners and small businesses from seeing their electricity prices go up. The House had passed it by an almost unanimous vote yesterday! Why? Because they care more about politics than giving relief to Americans. Even worse, the Fake News won’t report this because they are the ultimate Democrat superPAC. Truly depraved.

A Senate Democrat just BLOCKED legislation that would help ensure AI data centers pay their own electricity, rather than pass costs onto Americans — backed by Trump This was passed by the House 417 to 3 last night!! SEN. HUSTED (R-OH): I ask unanimous consent to pass the bill SEN. HEINRICH (D-NM): Reserving the right to object... SEN. MORENO (R-OH): I just want to make clear what just happened...all we had to do was not have an objection from a Democrat senator, that bill would become LAW TODAY and electricity users would've seen IMMEDIATE RELIEF. We did NOTHING because of DEMOCRAT OBSTRUCTION! This bill would've done something! Heinrich whined that it "didn't do enough..." and by doing this, he ensured NOTHING HAPPENED AT ALL. Reality check: as a result of Democrats' objection, this bill is now STALLED in the Senate. If he wanted to "do more," he should've let this fly through, then filed to get more done! President Trump's executive order on this needs to be codified! Well, there you have it. The Democrats in the Senate just voted in direct contrast to the interests of Americans.
