This is a festering scandal.
First the Communities Department said that documents relating the new definition of Islamaphobia had been deleted.
This was a scandal in it's own right, with sinister undertones as to why this had happened.
Then recently, and I am sure it wasn't appreciated, Will Garton (the Acting Permanent Secretary) ordered a further investigation into what had happened.
The second investigation has now found they HAVEN'T been deleted, and remain accessible.
This means that the Ministers who told Parliament of the deletion now stand responsible for inadvertently misleading the Commons.
So they damn well should. But, why is it being classed as inadvertent?
When you are a minister standing im ln front of parliament you need to rock solid sure before you say anything.
Again, why is it inadvertent?
The questions raised from them saying the documents had been deleted - namely had extremist groups been involved.
This should claim scalps.
A festering scandal.
