Yesterday, we lost a cherished member of our family.
We got Sunny at the start of our second term in the White House, and all of us – including our first dog, Bo – immediately fell in love. We also had trouble keeping up with her, for Sunny was a force of nature. Athletic and full of boundless energy, she leapt over the hedges on the South Lawn like they weren’t even there, chasing squirrels, birds and anything else that moved. And whereas the way to Bo’s heart usually involved a treat, Sunny was more interested in having us run around with her, roll on the floor with her, or have her belly rubbed for as long as we were willing.
She loved the girls, even if they were pestering her when she was napping. She loved our team, and would often follow them around, helping them on the job. She was fiercely protective of Bo, who she rightly sensed wasn’t always as alert and attentive as she was. She had her eccentricities: other than Bo, she preferred people to dogs; she was a loud and sloppy drinker; and despite being a Portuguese Water Dog, she hated getting wet.
But as far as our family was concerned, she was pretty much perfect, and for thirteen years, she would be by our side – always loyal, always sweet, always ready for adventure, still fiery and gorgeous till the very end of her days.
We will miss her terribly, and imagine she’s with her big brother now, making sure he’s okay.

🚨🚨🚨NEW: Bodycam video shows police at the Tucson International Airport reading Sheriff Nanos a Miranda warning after he brought an undeclared, loaded gun to a TSA checkpoint on his way to vacation in Laguna Beach.
Nanos was not charged, but he missed his flight and had to stow the weapon in his car.
County residents complained to the Board of Supervisors previously that they believe he was treated more leniently than the average citizen would have been.
Active-duty members of law enforcement are typically allowed to fly armed if they meet federal requirements and declare their weapons in advance.
As for the streamers, the Pima County Attorney's Office declined to comment on their cases.
"Due to ongoing litigation, we are not able to provide a comment at this time. Thank you for your understanding, we will share updates when it becomes legally appropriate."
🚨🗞️🚨Here's everything PCSD offered up on the three streamers accused of creating a public nuisance in Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood.
All three arrested yesterday.
Damian Todd Enderle, of 857 Tucson, was ticketed and released.
Alex Zabel, AKA Criminal Network, and Troy Bradshaw, who streams as "DAA JUICE" were both briefly jailed.
All three face misdemeanor public nuisance charges. Zabel is also accused of obstructing the roadway.
PCSD says it's received numerous complaints about blocked roadways, trespassing and other disruptions. Warnings allegedly went unheeded.
"After reviewing video evidence showing one of the arrestees urinating in public behind a makeshift tent, Sheriff Chris Nanos has directed deputies to take a stronger enforcement approach. Sheriff Nanos will no longer tolerate behavior that disrupts the community or violates the law."
Going forward, the sheriff's department is vowing to cite and release first-time offenders. Anyone caught a second time may be jailed.
There has been a ban on media parking in the neighborhood since late February after dozens of news vehicles camped out up and down the block for weeks. However, they're all gone.

The hardest part of cancer… wasn’t when I had it.
When I was in the middle of my own fight, I used to say something that surprised people
“Being the one with cancer is the easy part.”
And I meant it.
Because when you’re the one diagnosed, you go into survival mode. You show up. You sit in the chair. You lay on the table. You take the meds. You endure the side effects. You cry when you need to. And then one day… you ring the bell. 🔔
You have a job to do….survive.
But the people who love you?
They don’t get a job. They just have to watch.
They watch you lose your hair.
They watch your body change.
They watch you push through exhaustion and pain.
They Google things at 2am.
They sit in waiting rooms trying not to imagine worst-case scenarios.
They feel helpless in a way that is almost unbearable.
And now… after beating cancer myself… I had to become that person.
I had to be the daughter watching my dad fight like hell for over two years. I had to sit with hope and fear tangled together in my chest. I had to smile when I was scared. I had to prepare my heart for something I didn’t want to face.
And when cancer took him, it solidified something in me
The loved ones carry a different kind of weight.
The patient fights physically.
The family fights emotionally.
The patient feels pain in their body.
The family feels pain in their soul.
Cancer doesn’t just attack one person. It ripples through an entire family.
If you are walking beside someone in their fight I see you.
If you are the spouse, the parent, the child, the sibling I see you.
If you are holding it together for everyone else I see you.
The caregivers.
The prayer warriors.
The ones sitting quietly in hospital chairs.
The ones who would trade places in a heartbeat.
You are carrying more than anyone knows.
Cancer survivors ring bells.
But families endure the echo long after.
And I stand on this more than ever now
The loved ones suffer in ways that don’t always get acknowledged.
To anyone loving someone through cancer… your strength matters too. 🤍
