Terminal agitation is rare Its risk is reduced by good holistic care over time It can be managed with prompt recognition and the right medications It is most commonly tied in with a strong desire to live longer rather than to die
Terminal agitation - A palliative care thread 🧵 This is not a thread on delirium near end of life. Although severe delirium can lead to agitation, almost all delirium in the last days of life can be managed with non-pharmacological support or small doses of medicine

Imposter Syndrome is breaking us down. Self-doubt is more dangerous than failure. We're programmed to stay safe within our comfort zones. But real transformation lies just beyond that safety. I've learned this firsthand in my entrepreneurial journey. TY for sharing #JyotiPatel

“The best leaders aren’t just tough. They’re kind. #Kindness isn’t about being soft. It’s being strong enough to do what’s right, even when it’s hard. It’s about saying the tough truth, but with care. Setting boundaries, but with respect. Leading with impact, but with heart.”

Another busy weekend of events across the country. Please enjoy. Our crews will be out there working hard. Please also use our services wisely. If you think you need to attend A and E but it's not life or limb threatening call NHS24 or 111. 999 is for emergencies.

Leading today means seeing past generation stereotypes. The workforce has never been this diverse... 4 generations, each with different needs, motivators, and communication styles. Most leaders try to treat everyone the same. Great leaders learn how each generation thrives.

This 👇 is how John phenomenally navigates his way through his cancer - you are a 🌟 @John_Dabell
There is no easy way to ‘do’ Stage IV cancer. There is the slashing, the poisoning, the burning, the off the scale pain, the fear, the fatigue, the sickness, the lymphoedema, the brain fog, the sleeplessness, the weight loss, the identity loss, the job loss, the nerve damage, the late-effects, the infections, the choking, the scanxiety, the financial toxicity, the frustration, the anger, the alienation, the vulnerability, the blood, the sweat and the tears. And then some. This is just a sample of what to expect. There are no shortcuts, and so to get through it, you have to go through it. But if you can summon up the strength, navigate a path with grace and a smile, you can emerge a better person.

In a world obsessed with titles and power, true leadership starts from within. ➟ It’s about character, not position. ➟ It’s about influence, not authority. ➟ It’s about making a positive difference, every single day. #RelationalLeadership

Listening is a relational practice we do between us. It is not easy to do it genuinely, and yet it is essential. It rests on so much more than skills. It can't be faked or achieved by shortcuts. It requires lifelong learning, humility, and curiosity. And it is so worthwhile.
