🚨 Nottingham Forest outline measures to improve City Ground matchday experience
Half-price pints from 4pm to get fans through the turnstiles earlier.
Forest have announced changes for Saturday's 5.30pm visit of Manchester City, following feedback from supporters and the Fan Advisory Board. Extra search lanes in the areas where queues build up, dedicated bag-check lanes so fans without bags move faster, more staff on hand for digital tickets, and parking in front of the Peter Taylor Stand reshuffled to free up space.
The 100% search policy stays, which is the part fans will care about most. Everything else here is working around that rather than changing it.
Then there's the Early Bird offer. Draught alcohol and hot drinks at half price in the fan zone and Trentside Lounge for the first hour, and on home concourses from 4pm until 4.45pm.
It's a neat bit of thinking. You can't speed up a full search policy, so you spread the arrivals instead, and you do it by giving people a reason to turn up early rather than telling them to.
Glasner's side are 19th and five without a win, he's called City one of the best in England and Europe, and he's asked for togetherness with the stands.
A fuller ground an hour before kick-off helps that.
