Today I join others from across our game and call for Gianni Infantino to resign as FIFA President. Infantino has debased the office that he promised to elevate. He has lied, deceived and tried to feather his own nest at the expense of the game he is supposed to serve.  He has lost the support of his senior staff, his closest advisers, the vast majority of people who devote their lives to this sport and even, it would seem, the FIFA Peace Prize winner.  It is too late to save his dignity but it is not too late to save football. He should go. Now. #Infantinout dailymail.com/sport/football…

All coming out the woodwork regarding FIFA. We were supposed to have got rid of the corrupt core
There is no shortage of issues regarding FIFA. Let me start by clarifying what some of these are from an FA perspective, in particular that of Jordan going into a World Cup for the first time. We are a small country with a minimal budget for our FA and had to deal with enormous hurdles. First, getting our fans into the USA: not all were granted VISAS, even though they had tickets -which we also know were sold at exorbitant prices. Secondly, we are being taxed by the US govt through FIFA for our participation. Money that should go to players and staff. This was not the case for those who played and set up camp in Canada and Mexico. But we happened to be in the USA so now we face these huge costs in taxes for having participated. Thirdly we have been waiting for reward money for our players since December for the Arab cup in Qatar, which is a FIFA event. The money our team should receive for having reached the final has not been delivered yet, while at the same time FIFA brags about how many billions they have in reserve. It is clear the problem really is with leadership. For months, FIFA has been refusing to help us on any of these or other matters- until it was verbally communicated to me during the World Cup that if I endorsed Infantino it would go a long way to helping our FA out. We pride ourselves in Jordan in upholding ethical values. We did not endorse him before and certainly will not now. But the whole situation amounts to blackmail and we refuse to give in to that.

Forest family, Firstly I am so grateful for the love and support you have shown me over the last 2 years especially towards the end of this season. From the minute I walked through the door i fell in love with this club. I want to thank all the staff and players for welcoming me and making my time here so enjoyable, this club gave me the opportunity to grow as a player and a person. Bringing the club European football again after 29 years is what all of you fans deserved and to be a helping hand in that is so special. Nottingham forest will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for all the unforgettable memories. ❤️ 🌳

So could England and you'd have the added bonuses of.. The oldest football nation on earth with fans able to walk up to stadiums rather than being located 20 miles outside of the city in a former swamp. Walking past houses, cafes, pubs where you can feel the energy build. Enjoy that pint and a sing song in a real pub in a real housing estate next to the stadium rather than 12 different concessions that all sell burgers at a mall/airport stadium concession centre. Pricing that demands ALL fans can realistically attend rather than a cock waving wanker telling everyone he paid a million dollars for his ticket. Communities that live a breathe the game instead of pretending they know what they're talking about for a month every 4 years. Stadiums that are built for the game, generate noise rather than spaceship sized Disneylands that generate zero football atmosphere. A chance for supporters to visit any one of 100 professional clubs stadiums in one small country, many within a 10 mile radius, where 150 year old rivalries have played out. You'll end up buying the shirt of a shitty club in a random town you've never heard of and it'll hit like crack for the rest of your life. A travel experience by car or rail that could see you get to any ground from any other in 4, not 14 hours. An opportunity to have jellied eels before going into the London stadium, jerk chicken or jollof rice at Arsenal , world class Balti pies at Villa Park or homemade top class pies at Anfield by @HomebakedBakery then sitting on the world famous Kop or beautiful new Everton stadium for a game. Let the American mind boggle as St James's Park sits squarely in the City centre of Newcastle, not 20 miles out. Stay in London and visit 15 or 16 professional clubs in one city. Visit the @NFM_Shop and understand 150 years of English football culture, footballs and shirts that are half the age of your country, the world's most fascinating collection of football history. Not everyone wants bigger, more expensive or corporate. Most fans across the globe proudly campaign for affordable pricing so that EVERYONE can enjoy and be a part of this sport. I'll invite you to Spain and Portugal and Morocco , as my guest, for the next edition. Football cultures that from Seville to Barcelona to Bilbao to Marrakech to Lisbon to Porto to Vigo highlight difference in cultures, regions, cities and football experiences. A 24/7 living and breathing passion for the sport that unless experienced, cannot be fully comprehended or appreciated. If you like big, corporate, burger concessioned, greed driven pricing, sure, America wins. But if you want your mind blown, you'll go to a World Cup in Italy, Spain, England, Germany, Brazil, Argentina. I guarantee, even in jest, you'll realise how naive your comments are.
People may not want to admit this but the United States could easily host every World Cup and rotate cities without any issues. The number of high end facilities and venues across the country is insane. Think of the cities/venues that are NOT hosting matches

We can confirm that Xavi Simons has ruptured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in his right knee. The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the second half of our Premier League fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. Xavi will undergo surgery in the coming weeks and, following that, will then begin his rehabilitation with our medical team. Everyone at Tottenham Hotspur sends Xavi our love and support - we will be with him every step of the way.

Steve Parish's employment contract at Crystal Palace used as evidence as CAS stuck with UEFA's decision to remove Crystal Palace from the Europa League. Parish, who manages the club’s day-to-day operations, is contractually prohibited from approving certain decisions without board approval, of which John Textor was one of the four voting members. Mr Parish shall not, without the prior written authorisation of Palace Manageco: - “be entitled to appoint or terminate the appointment of a member of the Senior Management Team or Management, in each case with a Total Remuneration package worth over £100,000 per annum (…)” (Clause 4.2.1); - “authorise the sale, purchase, loan or transfer of an Player with a Total Remuneration package worth over £100,000 per annum (…)” (Clause 4.2.2); - “agree any contract or make any changes to the terms and conditions of any Player which contract or changes would be worth over £100,000 per annum (…)” (Clause 4.2.3); - “incur any capital expenditure within the relevant Financial Year or any other liabilities worth over £100,000 per expense or liability” (Clause 4.2.4); - “agree to any contract or terminate any contract or series of related contracts worth over £100,000 (whether as cost or revenue) (…) (Clause 4.2.5)” CAS say: "Whilst Mr Parish may be responsible for the day-to-day management of CPFC, there are certain acts, such as major transfers of players, which need a collective decision from the three directors of Palace Manageco, including Mr Textor. In this respect, Mr Textor took part in decisions pertaining to the transfer of players and the appointment of CPFC’s coach. In view of the above, the Panel considers that Mr Textor, by holding executive positions of governing bodies of CPFC, had the ability to exercise decisive influence" #CPFC

Nottingham Forest has donated £10,000 to Stephen Crean’s Just Giving Page at the request of Evangelos Marinakis. As well as a complimentary Season ticket for next season, the club have invited him to fly with the squad on a private charter to a Europa League fixture, to stay at the team hotel and watch the game with the Forest delegation in the directors box. Club putting their money where their mouth is and backing their own during such a horrific time. 🌳 ❤️ #nffc

Some of our statements and press releases are just weird… Anyway welcome to Sean and the team, you’ll have most the fans onside but this won’t be easy.
Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Sean Dyche as the Club’s new Head Coach, following a thorough recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos. The former Forest youth player joins the Club on a contract running until the summer of 2027 and will take charge of his first match on Thursday night as The Reds take on FC Porto in the Europa League. Dyche will be joined by his experienced coaching team of Ian Woan and Steve Stone — both former Nottingham Forest players who together made more than 400 appearances for the Reds during the 1990s. A respected and experienced Premier League manager, Dyche brings the perfect blend of character, tactical acumen and proven achievement to guide the Club through its next chapter. Having managed more than 330 Premier League matches in his career to date, Dyche has built teams defined by defensive organisation, resilience, and strength from set pieces —qualities that align closely with the current squad’s attributes and the Club’s footballing identity. As a former Forest youth player who lives locally, Dyche also has a deep understanding of the values and pride of Forest and its supporters. With his character, tactical acumen and man-management skills, his appointment represents the best opportunity for a successful and competitive season across both domestic and European competitions.
