I’m a Conservative, patriotic and absolutely unwilling to hand British politics over to bullies, racists or pound shop populists.

Reform’s politics boil down to grievance, division and finding somebody else to blame. Turn friend against friend, neighbour against neighbour, then call the wreckage patriotism. England deserves a future built on decency and fairness

Suella Braverman, consider Walter Tull. Born in Folkestone to an English mother and a Barbadian father. A footballer for Tottenham Hotspur and Northampton Town. A British Army officer who led soldiers into battle and was killed serving his country in 1918. If your definition of Englishness excludes a man like him, it is your definition that needs challenging.

Just watched the speech in full. One of the best, and most powerfully delivered, by a British politician in a very long time. If he can deliver on his passion and promises, Burnham could be a transformative Prime Minister. But it’s a big ‘if’ …
I will build the Britain my dad wanted to see.

Piers, this is embarrassingly gullible. You’ve watched a politician deliver a rehearsed speech and practically written his coronation. Where are the costings, the scrutiny, the evidence he can deliver? Britain needs a credible government. You’re handing out five stars for an audition.

Remember this: when Prime Minister Burke Burnham was asked about defending the realm, his answer from the Dispatch Box was. “Welfare first, defence second.” If you live near military bases, power stations, transport hubs or other vital infrastructure, you have every right to be deeply concerned. A government’s first duty is the defence of its people.

The United Kingdom is a great country, inhabited by a great people. We have been badly let down by successive governments since the 1990s but that does not make Britain bad, nor does it diminish her people. The failure has been in the management of our country. If anyone can begin putting that right today, it is Kemi Badenoch. I do not say that simply because I am a Conservative. I say it because Kemi has already begun changing our party no mean feat where the Conservative Party is concerned. Britain has contributed more to the world than almost any nation in history, and we still have so much more to give. But we must be strong abroad and courageous enough to confront our problems at home, however difficult or uncomfortable that may be. I am convinced that Kemi has the strength, honesty and determination to deliver.

Not if but when this happens in the UK, Farage’s years of excusing Putin and parroting Kremlin friendly arguments will come crashing back on him. His political career wouldn’t merely suffer it would be destroyed instantly.

That isn’t free speech it’s the incoherent tantrum of a man who mistakes insults for intelligence. You’ve offered no facts, no argument and barely a coherent sentence. If this is Reform’s intellectual cavalry arriving, it appears the horses have bolted and left the village idiot behind.

See wet liberals like you who masquerade as a so called Tory. You are now getting involved in the problems that you, labour and that other shower created in the first place. That is why you are what I called you. How is that for a bit of free speech.

“Reform or bust” is not patriotism it’s a threat from a party drunk on its own propaganda. You offer Britain grievance, chaos and a personality cult, then demand surrender. No. Reform is not the cure: Reform is the bust splitting the right and handing Britain back to Labour.
The window to correct the course of the United Kingdom is still open. But it's closing. Fast. It's Reform or bust.

Hi Julian. I would pay handsomely for WikiLeaks to reveal what really happened inside the Ecuadorian Embassy when Nigel Farage visited and exactly what was said behind those closed doors.
